WOW!! Just WOW!! When I received the e-mel from goonies, informing me that my fellow FanPoppers had voted for me for Horror Filem peminat of the Month, that was about what my reaction came to. It took a moment for the message to sink in. As I told goonies in my reply e-mel to her, once I had cast my vote for the peminat of the Month, I forgot to add it to my updates, and it went out of sight, out of mind. So this was really a surprise.
So, thanks to everyone who voted for me. I’m really thrilled with this honor. I especially want to thank Aerohead, who was kind enough to offer the tajuk to me for the bulan of July, even though we had tied for the win. Thanks so much!!
To get in the “horror-fying” frame of mind, I have cranked up my iTunes and now I am playing horror movie theme songs at bahagian, atas volume to set the mood for the answering of the soalan in this interview (The “Halloween” theme song is going right now). Now, on to the really fun questions!!
What do anda find appealing about horror Filem and why?
Oooh, tough question. What do I not find appealing about horror movies? Let’s see, I like the thrilling sensation which goes up and down my spinal cord when the villain is stalking his/her victims. I Cinta the chilling Muzik that usually gets going right before the villain makes a kill. I Cinta the really intricate storylines that keep anda guessing until the end of the movie. Those types are few and far between. I think what I Cinta most about watching horror movies, especially in the last (almost) tahun is that now I have a club to come and chat with fellow horror movie Kekasih about the ups and downs and everything-in-betweens of hundreds, if not thousands, of horror movies.
What was the first horror movie anda ever saw (if anda can remember) and how old were anda when anda saw it?
Hmmm…this is an easy and a hard question. The first horror movie I ever supposedly saw, I only found out from hearsay from my parents, because I have absolutely no recollection of it. Apparently when I was toddler-age I watched Alien with my father, but, as I said, I can’t remember a thing. That’s just what they told me. The first horror movie I actually remember seeing was Poltergeist probably around the age of seven atau eight. That continues to remain a kegemaran with me to this day.
If anda had a chance to be in a horror movie, what director would anda want to work with and what type of horror movie would anda want to be in?
Another tough one. I would Cinta to work with Alfred Hitchcock atau Wes Craven. I believe both of them have done phenomenal work in the horror genre. If I could choose any type of horror movie to be in, I would Cinta to do the ever-popular slasher atau psychological horror. Both genres are my Kegemaran in the field of horror.
Who got anda into horror and when?
I don’t think anyone got me into horror; I just kind of drifted into it. I do have Friends who are big horror buffs like myself, but if I had to choose one person, I’d probably say my dad. We used to watch tons of Filem together of all different genres and that was probably where it started. If I had to recall an age, I would say sometime after I got my first taste with Poltergeist.
Do anda only watch horror Filem atau have anda read any horror novels and, if so, which do anda like better?
I don’t really read horror novels. The last time I read something that could be classified as horror would probably be the young adult horror novels written sejak Christopher pike and R. L. Stine. Since then, I have only really read sci-fi, Fantasi and techno thriller (made really popular sejak the late Michael Crichton). I do have a desire to someday read the classic horror novels Dracula and Frankenstein. Actually, upon further reflection, I did read Edgar Allan Poe in high school, but I would say I still prefer the horror Filem to horror novels.
As a horror fan, what type of horror do anda watch and what would you suggest for new peminat-peminat to watch if they were just getting in to horror?
You just had to ask, goonies, didn’t you? I am sure there are plenty of other FanPoppers lebih qualified than I to suggest that critical movie that could make atau break a newcomer’s first exposure to the genre. To start with my kegemaran type of horror movie is the slasher type atau the psychological thriller type. The horror Filem that make up the bahagian, atas of my Kegemaran senarai are Sleepy Hollow, Thir13en Ghosts, Ghost Ship, Poltergeist and Storm of the Century. As for someone who is just getting started in the genre, I probably would not recommend any of those (except maybe Poltergeist) as most of the others have garnered mixed reviews and I can see why that is so. For first timers, I would suggest the classic trio: Halloween, Friday the 13th and The Nightmare on Elm Street. And I do mean CLASSIC – none of this remake stuff.
Well, that concludes the interview put forth sejak the charming goonies and I hope that anda have learned a little bit lebih about me.
Just remember, "There are far worse things awaiting man than death." Cheers!!

The match starts and Jason jumps right on to Freddy and hits him repeatedly, Micheal grabs Jason and pushes him to a brick dinding stabbing him in the process. Blood sprays the room and paints Micheal's mask red, Micheal hits Freddy round the face and knees him in the groin; Freddy stumbles to the floor clenching his bollocks. Jason suddenly gets up and leaps on to Micheal's back, Jason beheads Micheal sending his head, his mask and a flood of blood everywhere; Jason's costume is now completely red. While Jason's not looking Freddy leaps up behind Jason and sticks his knivey hand through Jason's chest, seterusnya Freddy pulls out Jason's intestines and paints the whole room red then as a finisher beheads him and keeps his masked head as a trophy. THE END.
