Kuda Soalan

New Horse

My dad finally granted me permission to get a riding horse! I have an 8-year-old Mini Horse mare, Spirit, and a really old mare, Annie, but she's my grandpa's horse and doesn't live with us, so she's not really involved. I just have to pay for the horse and feed, which ain't a problem. I've saved the money and have a job to pay for feed.

But before I make this decision, I've been told sejak a couple people that when Kuda get together, they look for every chance at escape and one their out, there's no catching em. These people spoke from experience. Is there anything I can do to prevent this?

Plus, how should I introduce the horses? How much land is needed (I have anywhere from 1.5 to 2 acres avaliable)? And should I get a gelding atau mare? Any other tips are welcome. Thanks!

Kuda Jawapan

In my experience Kuda can escape but this is caused sejak human error, fright atau poor fencing. There isn't really anything anda can do except use common sense, regularly repair the fencing and have plenty of forage (grass/hay) to keep them busy. If he/she does manage to escape have a scoop/bucket of nuts to rattle and they usually come running. Then find out how they escaped and fix the problem, so they cant do it again. As for introduction, ideally in a perfect world anda should section a part of the field off and put the new horse in there and let them make Friends over the fence. Fighting and biting is normal horse behaviour as they are sorting out the hierarchy.
I think it is 1 acre per horse and half for a kuda, kuda kecil and as for gender preference i prefer a gelding as mares can be moody and tempremental.

anda should probably get a gelding just because most of them are calmer than mares and i think for every horse anda have anda need 2 acers of land

Well Geldings are lots of work cause after the age of 8 they start geting joint problems and every bulan they will need a injection (shot) to keep their joints running . And also to interduce Kuda together anda should first bring them together on their halters and if their good together anda can put them in the meadow together but anda have plenty of room . Dont worry .:)
