Through Time and Space
Somewhere in time there's a boy who's not afraid to cry
Somewhere in space, a girl awaits to dry his eyes
Somehow they're drawn together sejak love's great gravity
Somewhere between time and space
Is where my Cinta will be
The Past
‘O, James dear, would anda please ask Mr. Wemmington where the Bunga are? They should have been brought here early this morning and have still not arrived. If I had the time I would api, kebakaran the person who arranges the flowers, but anda know how terribly busy I’ve been with the organization of your 25th birthday ball…’, Queen Patricia told her youngest son. ‘Of course mother, I will go look for him immediately.’, Prince James answered.
Being 24 years old, he knew better than to disobey his mother. When he was younger he had disobeyed her wishes once and awhile, which had lebih often than not led to his mother being outrageously mad at him and while that seemed like an appropriate response at first, it really wasn’t. The thing was that the Queen wouldn’t be mad at him for an jam atau a day, she would be mad at him for months. Months in which James continuously had to hear what a big failure he was, how she never even wanted a fourth child, how his brother and sisters where perfect and he truly didn’t fit in. This was why James learned at a young age to always obey his mother. When James first started to obey his mothers wishes their relationship actually got better, but after his brother’s accident it had gotten worse again. So this was the social construct they had lived sejak for years and years now. It wasn’t that they disliked each other necessarily, it was lebih of a continuous misunderstanding between mother and son that had driven them into this social construct in which James did as his mother asked. James obeying his mother had become the actual foundation of their relationship.
James searched the royal bedrooms for their butler Mr. Wemmington, but couldn’t find him anywhere. James smirked, the old Mr. Wemmington had probably gone to his bedroom to take a quick nap, before being driven mad sejak the Queen once more. Mr. Wemmington had been the Queen’s butler for years, but over the past years he had quickly gotten older and didn’t have the strength anymore to be at her beg and call 24/7. James hesitated at first but then decided to let poor Mr. Wemmington nap for a little while longer as he made his way through the istana, castle down to the laborers floor.
He hadn’t been down here since he was 17, on the hari of his brothers accident, wandering about the istana, castle trying to take in what it all meant. From that hari on he couldn’t be the carefree fourth child anymore, he had to become the responsible one, for the sake of the country, for the sake of England.
As he walked through the hallways he saw the astonished looks upon the faces of the laborers, some of them bowed, others just gaped at him in shock not knowing what to do as their Prince, the man that over a little from a tahun from now would be King, was walking around on their floor.
James finally stopped in front of the flower-room. All flower-arrangements were made behind these doors. Being the polite gentleman he always was, James knocked on the door and waited for a response before entering. After a few saat a female opened the door. As she had learned that she wasn’t allowed to speak to a man until he told her so she didn’t say anything. James blinked a few times before taking in the beautiful woman in front of him. He blushed and then quickly scanned the room. Luckily she was the only one in the room, which was good as he didn’t like to be caught looking at woman like this. She smiled politely at him as he tried to come to his senses. ‘Good morning, Miss…’ ‘Lise’, she answered. ‘Miss Lise…’, he repeated then stuttered as he was at loss for words. Lise just waited for him to regain himself, as he got Lost into her eyes.
‘Are anda alright Sir?’, Lise asked eventually as she decided to close the door behind them. ‘Ehh… Yes sorry yes…’, James answered. The woman waited for a few saat before asking, ‘Is there something I can help anda with Sir?’ James smiled, ‘Yes, sorry, yes of course… The Queen… she ehm… she was asking about the flowers. Apparently they should have been delivered this morning and…’ The woman’s smile disappeared and before he could help himself he walked closer to her, ‘Don’t worry, it’s not your fault… anda didn’t have to bring them over did you?’ ‘I don’t know Sir. I think Mr. Patrickson was supposed to bring them over, but I haven’t seen him all hari and…’ ‘Never mind, I’ll just take them with me if they are ready that is?’ ‘Yeah-yes, yes of course they are… I’m terribly sorry, I just started working here yesterday… My father got me this job and…’ James smiled, ‘It’s not your fault. The Queen can be... a little demanding sometimes.’ Lise smiled as James smiled back. ‘Thank anda Sir.’, she answered. James smiled, ‘You don’t have to call me sir, I’m not that old yet am I?’ Lise blushed, ‘I’m sorry…’ ‘No, no, don’t apologize. I-you.. I am the one that should be sorry for not even properly introducing myself. If anda would forgive me, my name is Hugh.’
Lise smiled and their eyes connected for a few saat until they both started to blush and quickly looked away. She took a step back thereby almost falling over the items she had just hidden. Her face reddened even lebih as she tried to quickly put the items away before Hugh could see them. ‘Let me help you…’, Hugh berkata as soon as he saw what happened. He bend down on his knees and picked up the one item he wasn’t supposed to see. She was so busted. ‘What is this?’, Hugh berkata as he turned the item over and was greeted sejak a beautiful painting of 3 red roses. ‘This is beautiful… did anda make this?’, he asked amazed sejak beauty of the painting and the skill it would have taken to create something like this. Lise blushed again, ‘I… I’m not supposed to paint here, I know, please don’t tell anyone… I’ll never do it again, it was just that the flowers… they were so beautiful, unlike anything I’ve ever seen and…’ ‘So anda did make this then?’, Hugh berkata in the softest voice possible. Lise nodded shyly. ‘It’s incredible… Where did anda learn how to do this?’ ‘My father told me how to mix the colours, but other than that….’ ‘You taught yourself?’, Hugh asked lebih amazed sejak this woman every second. Lise nodded again, ‘You’re parents must be proud.’ She smiled. ‘I won’t tell anyone, don’t worry about that. I wouldn’t want something so beautiful to be taken away…’, he berkata looking at the painting but from the corner of his eye glancing at Lise.
‘You are to kind Mister Hugh.’, Lise answered. He smiled and answered in a soft voice, ‘Just Hugh is fine…’ ‘O…’, she blushed a little. They smiled at each other again before looking away. Hugh stared at the Bunga and smiled, ‘I guess I’ll take some of them with me then…’ ‘Yes, of course…’, Lise berkata and suddenly looked a little sad. Hugh watched her expression and instantly felt a bit worried about the woman he had just met, ‘Is something wrong, Lise?’ ‘N-no.. it’s just the Bunga are very beautiful, I’ve never seen any Bunga like these before…’ ‘There will be lebih Bunga like this, the Queen is all about expensive and unique flowers. But anda know what, these Bunga will be gone in a few days, while what anda have made, your painting, that could last forever.’ Lise smiled and nodded, ‘Thank you.’
After Hugh left the flowerroom Lise was left with a warm fuzzy feeling in her stomach, not knowing that she had just talked to Prince James Hugh Calum III, Prince of England and Scotland.
