I’ve been a peminat of JimxMelody (affectionately known as JiMel) well before I knew about Disney Crossovers. I’ve also been a peminat of Astrologi for a very long time. After I discovered the Disney Crossover fandom I started to put the two together sejak trying to figure out the signs of my kegemaran Disney and Non/Disney characters. Disney-astrology (as I like to call it) is something I like to do in my spare time and this artikel is about my opinions on Jimel and why I believe their Cinta is possible, based on Astrologi :) If anda aren’t into astrology, that’s fine. I just wanted to share my thoughts on this. I’d be happy to hear from all of anda though!

First let’s start with everyone’s kegemaran bad boy with a hati, tengah-tengah of gold; Jim Hawkins. Now some may think Jim would be an air sign because he can be aloof atau a api, kebakaran sign due to his passionate nature. However, the three words that come to mind when I think of Jim are: intelligence, sensitive, and mysterious. Let’s face it girls, that is what we think of when we think of the token “Bad Boy”. They are also words that describe the Scorpio sign.

Scorpio (October 23-November 21) - Fixed Water Sign

-    Planet: Pluto (I don’t care what science says. It’s still a planet >.<)
-    Positive traits: high intellect, magnetic personality, mysterious, independent
-    Negative traits: moody, quick-tempered, suspicious of others, misunderstood, self-critical
-    Hobbies: tactical games atau sports, anything to do with science atau mechanical (like to see how things work)

Just looking at the basics of the sign with the naked eye, anda can see many of these aspects in Jim that were expressed in Treasure Planet.

Scorpios are the fixed water sign of the zodiac. This means that their natural element is water, but they are connected sejak it through stability and determination. It may seem weird to think of Jim as a water sign, but Scorpios are known for being the most exuberant water sign of the three.

Their planet is Pluto and just like Scorpios, it is the least most understood out of the planets. It also represents extremes and transformations. It’s selamat, peti deposit keselamatan to say that Jim can be extreme, and he goes through a transformation of sorts during the course of the film.

Jim holds a lot of the positive aspects of Scorpio. We know he’s smart because he built his first solar surfer when he was eight. We know he has a magnetic personality because he is popular with the fans, and it shows sejak him being paired with practically every girl (and most guys) in the Non/Disney community. He also has a mysterious air about him that a think most girls fall for. Although he had his mom, it’s obvious that he is independent atau that he had to learn to be independent because of his father leaving him at a young age.

He also holds some of the negative traits of the sign. Jim can be rather moody at times though that trait goes for all of the water signs. He is also quick-tempered atau at least quick to act on his emotions. Sometimes he is quick to lash out, but pulls back and becomes secretive again like when he talked with Silver about Arrow’s death. That scene also shows how self-critical he is. This can be either a good atau bad trait, but for Jim it’s negative. He is really hard on himself about what happened. I also think he believes that it’s his fault his dad left, but that’s just my opinion. He’s also very suspicious of others which leads to him being misunderstood sejak a lot of people. sejak not menunjukkan his emotions, others tend to judge him wrongfully. However, he proves them wrong in the end as most Scorpios do.

As for hobbies, Scorpios like to do things with their hands atau things in which they can exercise their brain. They like to see how things work, and to see if they can improve it. We already established that Jim is smart in many ways. However, it’s WHAT he is good at that makes him a Scorpio. He loves to build and ride solar surfers, he is the only one in Treasure Planet who could work the map, and he figured out the puzzle to the door. All of these are things seem to come naturally to Jim and they are all things which Scorpios are good at.

Jim Hawkins: Magnetic, Smart, Secretive and Misunderstood. In my book, he matches Scorpio perfectly. Do anda agree? Disagree?
