If we know one thing about the past and present members of KISS, it’s that they are definitely very confident in their opinions. And former KISS guitarist Ace Frehley just made headlines proclaiming in a new interview that he “definitely blows Tommy Thayer off the stage.” Even though Frehley was just inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame for his work with KISS, the band has employed several impressive guitarists over the years and his comments got us to wondering which guitarist fans view as the band’s best.

Frehley has enjoyed the longest tenure with the band, playing lead guitar for the rockers between 1973-1982, then returning to the group in 1996 for the reunion of the original lineup and sticking around through 2002. He was eventually replaced by Thayer, who has now spent 12 years in the band and has been part of revitalizing the group’s most recent album offerings.

Another name to consider is Bruce Kulick, who laid down some impressive licks while holding the guitar spot between 1984 and 1996. The band’s other two guitarists enjoyed short stints in the band. Vinnie Vincent, who went on to enjoy a career outside of KISS, played with the band from 1982 to 1984 and was then briefly replaced by Mark St. John before Kulick claimed the guitarist spot.

Each guitarist brought their own style and playing to KISS, but only one can stand alone as the best KISS guitarist. So, tell us which guitarist is KISS’ best by voting in the poll below.
