BUT IM GOING TO!

Yes I did! It's now one of my favourite books of all time! They missed out quite a bit in the musical, so i suggest you all read it! It was inCREDIBLE!

I saw it in a bookstore last week and almost bought it, but decided not to. I do intend to read it someday, perhaps this summer when I don't have any other reading to do.

I never saw the musical, (I tought at first this spot was for the book)but I had read the book.It was awesome!!!!!!

I read the complete unabridged version after my mom had me listen to the complete symphonic recording, and it was amazing! It was all I read for three days. I adore them both, but yes, they did cut out quite a bit from the musical. But they're both amazing!

Read it ages ago, and it is still my number one.

Well, they had to cut something, but, in my opinion, nothing important from the main story was missing. And, what is more I think there's something from the spirit of the book in the musical. I liked the fact that some quotations from the book (or paraphrases) were in the musical. Oh, I didn't mention? I'm in love with the book. I have many favourtie scenes but two,,the most favourite" are: when Bishop saves Valjean and Valjean's death.

My mum started reading the book to me when I was ten, and it took us two years to finish, but it is still one of my favourite books of all time. Victor Hugo was a genius and I'm waiting for an oportunity to read "Notre-Dame".
All things considered, I think that the play did an admirable job of keeping the main story, even though some of the characters act a little differently. This play is an example to all those movies that try to adapt books an 8th the size of Les Mis. and still leave things out. MY favourite part that was left out is when Gavroche looks after the two brothers:)

I read it when I was cast in a production as Éponine a few years ago. It was required for all the leads, and we had to write a character analysis to prove we knew the character afterwards.

The reason I have to say no is that I started reading it but was due back at the library so forgot to write down where was up to & haven't been able to get the right book ever since.
