when Miles asks why he picked LaFleur, Sawyer says "its creole, I improvised" link This way he has a fake french sounding name, and it also covers for his southern american accent.
lets see.....its not his real name....so its a fake name. and its french. that makes it a french, fake name. and yes la fleur means "the flower" Im candian i grew up learning french in school. but that isnt why he picked the name. if people just listen to what is berkata in the show, it is all explained.
LOL Actually IDK, but he berkata that was the first thing that came to his mind, so maybe there's no special reason. IMO they picked this particular name because Lafleur-theflower had some significance in the LaFleur ep. anda know, that yellow bunga - the symbol of Suliet love. I also think that they may have picked this name for Sawyer, in order to intrigue the peminat-peminat with the name of the ep. Because no-one could actually think that the name of this episode could refer to Sawyer's name.

I totally agree. I thought "La Fleaur" had something to do with the Orchid station, lol. I guess "LaFleaur" was the only name Sawyer could think up off the bahagian, atas of his head. Funny, I didn't think he spoke French! LOL
