People used the small character argument to vote for Miles. I don't see how Boone is different. He stayed on the show for less than a season. The only difference I see is that Boone is hot

Exactly. Its a classic example of 'pretty people' syndrome. I mean it says alot when a character is more is MORE interesting after he dies lol.

It's not bad taste. They're pointless in your opinion, that doesn't mean to say that they're pointless in everyone else's.

However, when characters are clearly still in the competition just because of they're LOOKS (with Boone there is no other explanation, since they didn't even feel him important enough to give him his own flashback) instead of what they contributed to the story (Juliet?....) is just saddening. It is in my opinion, bad taste.

^^ Boone did have a flashback (Hearts and Minds).

And I do think that Boone was important to the storyline, just like every other character. He helped Locke's storyline and yeah, he was only on Lost for a short amount of time but saying that he contributed nothing is far from the truth.

^ not exactly. He shared a flashback with his sister, yet his sister got her own flashback episode in season 2, and aside from a brief appearance Boone did not. Looking at his role as a whole it seems like his sole purpose while living, was to look after his *decidedly* more important sister. And his purpose for/after dying was merely a motivation for Locke's character.

Its just my opinion though, and I respect your right to disagree with it.

^^ yeah... I still feel like he's important, though. I dunno, it's just that with Lost I don't think it'd be the same without any of the characters (excluding Nikki/Paulo, that is...).

So, yes.. I see where you're coming from, but I still think Boone was just as vital to the storyline. In my opinion, none of these characters left deserve to go... but you gotta pick one, lol.
