Well as far as i remember there wasn't any "defending", but Michael did oblige his brothers sejak accepting to do victory tour with them, because the brothers were having financial problems. Michael had wanted to do solo tour for thriller album. But for brothers they did their final "Jacksons" konsert tour.
But i really don't know whether Michael defended his brothers in any way....maybe i have to read the biography one lebih time to find out.
