We know Joe is short for Joseph, even Joseph was called Joe most of the time. But his birth name was Michael Joe Jackson, as told sejak Jermaine. When Michael denounced himself as a JW, i've never heard anything about him changing his name. He's been called Michael Joseph Jackson probably since Off The dinding atau Thriller, before he denounced himself during his Bad Tour. That's all I know.

His drivers license, and also the court documents from 2005, say "Joe", but some other legal documents, like the autopsy report, say "Joseph". Seems like he used both, atau that some people have misunderstood his name. I haven't heard that he has ever changed his name.
