Summer tends to get the best movies action wise, but Autumn and Winter tend to see the best cult releases IMO, so I'm going winter.

I don't know what it is but Winter is my favorite time to go to the movies.

Winter is the best time for really great independent films because it is Oscar season. Many films wait to release during that time so they can get Oscar consideration.

Sometimes some of the best movies come around in the summer- but the winter is a close second.

Summer releases are great for popcorn flicks but a lot of them are really bad. Winter has some good independent releases but I find most Winter movies to be over-rated, sappy pieces of shit. And Spring is just useless. Post-Oscar season sucks. That leaves me with the fall season.

Especially this summer, loads of great films out!

Money-wise, movies released in the summer are usually more successful but I like winter movies as well, great movies for award season

I think the best films are Autmn/Fall it's between the biggys aimed at a particular audience!

I'm from portugal, and i really prefer seeing movies in winter, besides, it's my favourite season

summer has mostly movies that have more action than story, and that not my type of movie at all, but there are exceptions of course, like the matrix movies, spider man movies, etc

I think this is less opinion and more fact. Usually big films wait until the summer to release because that's when sells will be the best.

That doesn't necessarily mean the quality is better, it just means the blockbusters are released during the summer.

summer is the best season for moohlah imo but winter is my personal favourite movie time :)

Because of summer vacation. Kids are out of school. They go to the movies! At least I think. During my summer vacations I saw a lot of movies in cinema.
