Why does everyone hate alicorns as oc's?

OK, when it comes to alicorns, I don't hate them. I dislike them. It's because many alicorn oc's don't come with a good story and people just say "is the daughter/son of Luna atau Celestia. Alicorns are royalty, anda don't just see one waltzing around in Ponyville. I mean, I like alicorns with a good story, not just being the relative of someone special. Alicorns shouldn't just be thrown around everywhere. I have no problem with your OC, though.

Well, when someone makes an OC of an alicorn, it's kinda power playing... Like someone else said, it is rare to see alicorns. It annoys me also that they say it is a Daughter atau son of Celestia atau Luna. Celestia and Luna can't have hundreds of kids...Plus, it's inaccurate to the tunjuk itself. It clearly states that there are only four alicorns in Equestria, and no longer. Personally, I like things to be accurate. That's just my opinion...

Indeed. The reason why I don't really like most of the alicorn OC's cos they are often overpowered, like Equestria wouldn't/couldn't survive without them. It's like they are soo much better than everypony else. As the others said, countless alicorn OC's are flat and shallow as a character, I've seen many, who's traits are basically the same as the Mane 6, but in one pony. It's part of the reason why my main OC is an earth pony; they are so underrepresented. However, if provided with a reasonable and original backstory, regarding their ascension to alicornhood, and some unique characteristics in their personality, it's much lebih acceptable to me. Take your OC fro example. api, kebakaran Dash has a character, being the kind of womanizer and his unstable mental condition and his origin story is creative as well, since he's been brought to life sejak Celestia's spell if I remember correctly. But many alicorn OC's don't follow this pattern; they are just being a plain Deus ex Machina, which is the most cliché of all characters. But of course, let it be noted, that I'm not an expert, I'm not that good in character building, this is just my own personal opinion and reality may differ from that. :)

Alicorns are supposed to be a rare kuda, kuda kecil race and... well, with over 9000 (or something) alicorns it just ruins that fac. I'm okay if the RPer's a good one and they have a good backstory as to why.

I don't think they hate them immediately, but because they often are op. Also since they're supposed to be rare since we only know of 4 in the show. If they include a good story about how they could be an ailicorn, it's usually lebih understanding about the OC and usually isn't disliked as easily.

I mean, if they don't have a good backstory, then I guess that's a problem.

My OC Honeybloom is from a place that is beyond Equestria, that is rumored to have a lot of alicorns.

I don't dislike them, but it pisses me off when they can end something like "poof!". OC Alicorns take away power from the main 4 princess. Making them look weaker. They're fine if we are talking about Alicorns that rule other worlds, but are visiting/ stuck in Equestria. As long as they aren't over powered. I think they're fine in fanfictions, but not in role playing. It would be odd if they were used in rping and they interacted with common ponies. They just don't have a place in role plays.

I got a powerful Alicorn oc, but in my backstory, she got murdered sejak another Alicorn, many years before Celestia and Luna existed... ;D

They are often catagorized as "Mary-Sues", a character that is absolutely perfect, and is flawless.
And, it's sometimes true. Sometimes. A lot of times, they aren't that way. My main OC is an Alicorn, but she is no means perfect. She isn't even royalty, she's just a normal pony.

Because they just want to complain and jalang, perempuan jalang on. They have no taste.

Like everyone else has said,i don't like the fact that their naturally lebih skilled then everyone else since they can fly and do magic.This is too over powering to me even if anda say your oc is not since it can't really be possible for an Alicorns NOT to be powerful since there made as rulers of Equestria and all,well unless they have some unknown disability that limits them but that'd give your character a big plot hole to me.My OC isn't an alicorn but she has rama-rama, gegat wings from experiments when in the womb. If anda have something like that where your oc was menyeberang, cross breed with another animal like a bird,ill accept that.Anything else i cant really like.Sorry to anda all who have an OC who's an alicorn,keep the alicorns limited like the tunjuk does. Xp

It's flipping annoying how most people on fanfiction don't read my fanfics if my fanfics feature either Luna's children atau Celestia's children that are alicorns. That's why I upgraded to Fimfiction- where my work is lebih appreciated, at least. Even an alicorn with the most flaws (shyness, special needs, etc.) is still seen as a mary sue in the eyes of a reader.

I think it's because they look bad and their story is bad. If the OC 1. Has good art Rekaan 2. Has a good story 3. Rules nowhere near the canon storyline of the show, they're fine in my book. But if they're something like "rules over Fillydelphia, is the son/daughter of Cadence" and their Warna don't collide well at all, then I don't like them.
Also, alicorns are meant to be rare. Just look at the ratio of alicorn to non-alicorn. 4:infinity. Yeah, not a lot...

The moste of the Alicorn OC´s are only made because they whanted to be the best. For example, my future OC is going to be a ROBOT alicorn. But she has a story. I have a friend who wanted to bi an alicorn but didnt have a back story!!!!!! XC While I made at least 5 atau soo.

I never actually heard atau read an alicorn oc's backstory but I can imagine that alicorn oc's can have a bad backstory. I also think just like the person here in this web site thetankmoment, she comes from another land and is not from equestria and then anda can kind of make an exception to alicorn oc's

3 simple reasons:

1. Cliched backstory/bad backstory

2. OP as hell (invincibility/immortality, all known powers)

3. That annoying claim he/she was born an alicorn instead of learning to become one, otherwise known as LAZY.

I have an alicorn OC, and she has none of these qualities. Picture of her seen below, and her name is Crystal Gleam. She was born a unicorn, but wanted to be able to fly when unable to use her magic, which shorts out when she becomes furious. She also became one because she wanted to be Luna's personal jeweler (person who makes jewelry) so she can Rekaan her shoes and make other kinds of things for her, telah diberi she first finds the right gems for the items.
