My hatred for them as a couple has lessened over time but I still hate the couple. There is no real development between the two of them. I mean, they have VERY FEW scenes together in season 2 because they were developing Emma and Neal and having Hook trying to kill Rumple to avenge his lost love Milah. Where in any of those scenes did it show as a mutual attraction because Emma was just annoyed by him. Hook seemed to just like her for her looks as of then. I mean, he even flirted with Ruby in a deleted scene in season 2, though I guess that doesn't count. Then in season 3 out of no where he's in love with her and wants to change when they had very few scenes together in season 2 and had no development. From then on it's just him continuing to flirt with her, her being annoyed, him saying she owed him a kiss for saving her father's life, and then in the finale they're in love. Where the hell did that come from? It was so rushed, undeveloped, poorly written, and annoying as hell. But, of course, this is an unpopular opinion. I've tried to like them as a couple but I just think they're a terrible couple.

The best couple ever with the best real time development, best writing and just a joy to watch for their sparkling chemistry :)
I'm not going to argue with anyone, but general audiences love them & that's what counts. & I'm proud to love them too.

I would have picked hate but I was surprised that I actually wasn't bothered by them this past Sunday. If that trend continues I might end up neutral on them, although I doubt I'll ever like them.

Ugh don't get me started....I admit that they do make a visually appealing couple but apart from their good looking (external) features....that's it. These two together are just eye candy for me. Nothing more.

Because I prefer HookedQueen and Swanfire.

Everyone picks them as the best but it's not the best. It's undeveloped and there is no fights no conflict no nothing to make it more interesting. I like the storyline of Belle and Rumple, where Rumple made mistakes with his relationship but later does what's best for Belle. And for Regina and Robin- they have complications because of Zelena's child. See? I mean sure, Baelfire was a complication but after that there relationship is way too perfect!I am actually glad to see so many others who dislike this couple as much as me..

I love them, and I don't think they have no conflict (and I expect we'll see a lot of that this season) or that their story was underdeveloped: in S2 they had chemistry and attraction (it was obvious already on the beanstalk and in the sword fight) but they had no real interest in each other and barely any respect for each other, but they did understand where the other was coming from ("And Straight On Till Morning" proved that);
In S3 Hook was a flirt, and she was the only 'available' woman in the team (nobody was going anywhere with Regina at that point and I won't even mention Mary Margaret), so he flirted, then he got slammed with the realization that Emma might be more than just another notch on his bedpost and he got serious.. he had to " go to the end of the world... or time" for her and then sacrifice his damn ship (without thinking twice) for her to kiss him again in "There Is No Place Like Home", before that she just missed him when he wasn't there. It took them three whole seasons to get to an "I love you"!!!
I frankly think Hook worked an hell of a lot harder than most men in the show to get the girl, certainly harder than Charming. It would be good to see Emma work to retain her light to keep HIM.
So yes, I love them, but I'm way partial to Hook.

In season two and most of season three I was ambivalent about them, but starting in season four I grew to really like them. They're not my favorite ship on the show (hell, Captain Swan isn't even my favorite Emma or Hook ship), but I do really like them now and am invested in their love story.
I think that they are actually really well-written, development-wise. The writers really allowed their relationship to naturally evolve over the seasons, which is nice. :)
