It had all the makings of an interesting teen romance - but it seems the relationship between Gillian McKeith's daughter Skylar and One Directions' Niall Horan is over before it had even begun.
Bemused former X Factor contestant Niall has taken to his Twitter page to deny any rumours that there was anything going on between them.
He posted: 'I don't know where that story about me and gillian mckeiths daughter has come from, I'm sure she is a nice girl, but there is no truth.'

It was reported that the 17-year-old singer had apparently hit it off with 16-year-old Skylar when they met backstage on one of The X Factor live shows - despite Simon Cowell's strict Cinta ban as he attempts to turn them into a bona fide boy band.

Skylar had telah diposkan a picture of herself with Niall and his bandmate Harry Styles with the caption: 'With @Harry_styles and @niallofficial from @onedirection backstage at @thexfactor.'

However, pictorial evidence of Skylar and a male celebrity doesn't necessarily mean they're going out.

The teen accompanies her mother everywhere to premieres, and has previously tweeted foto-foto of herself with the likes of Joe Jonas and Edward Grimes of Jedward fame.
