i kind of was in the same situation as brooke once, and that girl would totally deserved a bitchslap from me!

i think she was just telling the truthe but ya cant blame brooke because she thought peyton was going to steal lucas agian so i dont really know i guess she deserved it for saying brooke didnt miss him when she never said that

There are two sides to every story, and this story is most definitely not black and white.

Peyton's honesty was genuine, and I truly believe she had the best intentions although she was rubbing it in Brooke's face a little too much, and she should have made it completely selfless and made a point of sticking to the plan of being there for her best friend who was in obvious pain, instead of becoming overly defensive.
Plus, I think Peyton was intelligent enough to have predicted that Brooke would be clearly upset by the devestating news. That was one flashback she just did not need.
Peyton could have been more supportive, but I respected her for not repeating season 1 and trying to come out to Brooke.

But in brooke's case, it's obvious that she was upset- and had every right to be. I think Peyton could have acted a little more selfless, and the news was obviously a lot for Brooke to handle especially with everything going on. Petty boyfriend drama was not what she needed. However, was a bitch slap really nessasary? We know that Peyton was being a bit snooty by trying to twist Brooke's words around but I think the slap was a little over the top. She lost her temper.

So, I am no longer taking sides on this debate.
Both were right and wrong.

By the way, I think that slap was in season 3.

No, way. Peyton was being honest, and even said she would hide her feelings for him. Brooke didn't want a repeat of season 1 with the sneaking around, and she didn't like this either. What would she have wanted Peyton to do. The slap was totally wrong.

Peyton was being honest and Brooke was bein a hypocrite. she was never honest with Peyton about Nathan either. i like both of these characters and they are great (especially Peyton, cuz she's my favorite) but that doesn't mean i'm just defending her. Cheating is cheating but she didn't deserve to get hit for being honest.

i think brooke shouldnt of done it but if i was in her shoes i would probs of done the same lol

In the 1 season the problem was that she didn't tell Brooke... So now she wanted to be honest & fix her past mistake that coused so many troubles. And it was wrong too...

But I gotta say Brooke overreacted!

I think Brooke overreacted, but not for the slap. It was her first reaction and I can even understand it but cut your best friend out of your life for being honest with you is absurd.
