i think hes just scared and doesnt wanna hurt people so he goes for the easy life but we all know in tree hill its gunna go wrong! he should man up and tell lindsey and peyton how he feels and which one he loves *cough* Peyton *cough*

Hard to pick just one; personally I think he's all of them (except for too kind and trusting - I think he gives ppl the benefit of the doubt in a healthy way), but the guy is hopeless when it comes to relationships. He doesn't learn from his mistakes. He gets in his own way. Just like peyton did in s1, but she's grown a lot since then. Luke...not so much.

but this is his iggest problem, when i watch episodes from previos seasons his love for brooke looks so strong and then so does his love for peyton and i just don't understand how that love can just disappear and he can move on to someone else so thats why it makes it so hard for me to believe that when he gets with someome that its gonna last, i really thought brooke was 'the one' and now i think it's peyton but he changed his mind before so who knows!

He just doesnt want to get hurt, so he keeps denying his feelings for Peyton, which clearly they are meant to be. Lindsey never hurt him or left him, and I guess his ego got hurt when Peyton said someday. He needs to stop acting like a baby and be a man. LP=TLA

to me, it's not the falling in love part that gets me, it's realizing who he's meant to be with. I think we all know that in this day and age, love just isn't enough. It takes a lot more than that to sustain a relationship. Ppl can fall in love multiple times before they found the one. as far we know, Peyton was luke's first love. and when he wrote his book, he admitted that he realized he was meant to be with Peyton and every instinct to the contrary (hooking up with brooke, anna, & now lindsey) was a simple denial of the truth. So I think it's all on him when it comes to hiding in a safe relationship...AGAIN!

cara-girl, you're twisting the past. Luke ran off with Brooke in s1 cause he was scared to get hurt again by Peyton. He said it himself. If you mean he ran off with peyton in s3 the same morning he reunited with Brooke, I doubt it was cause he was scared, i'm pretty sure it was cause he'll always care about peyton (he said it to brooke in the rain scene) and be there for her in a heart beat. but it's your opinion, so don't think i'm belittling it...i'm just strongly disagreeing with it, lol.

I love Lucas, I do, he's my favorite character and always has been. I think Lucas' biggest problem is that he refuses to admit the truth to himself. I do believe he loved Brooke and I also believe he loved Lindsey. However it's not the same way that he loves Peyton. He knows it and eventually he'll stop living in the denial he chooses to live in. And I say chooses because I think deep down Lucas knows Peyton's the one. He always has and eventually he'll admit it to himself. I agree with what abs said about simply loving someone not being enough. That's why brucas didn't work and why ll won't work out.

hmm cara-girl, I also think you're twisting the past as well. He wouldn't even have been with brooke at all in season one if peyton didn't turn him down at the party. And if Luke is afraid of anybody, it would be peyton not brooke....however what scares him is him.

I was hoping there would be an option of, he denies how he is really feeling and ends up in relationships with the wrong girls thinking he's in love w/ them when he's really hungover someone else.

sportygurl, the "He hides from his emotions when the going gets though" option ties with what you're trying to say. That's pretty much what that pick is. In s1, he ended up in a relationship with brooke when he felt that peyton wasn't gonna get together with him; so when peyton finally told luke how she felt, he even said he was hiding with brooke at that point. Recently, he's been hiding with lindsey (who was the WRONG girl again). So hope that helps you.
