Today at school, I had an experience I will never forget. I had just finished my lunch, and I went to throw something away. Suddenly, I heard someone shouting, "Somebody, help! My friend is choking!" I rushed to the scene. One of the kids looked up at me desperately and said, "I don't know what to do." I said, "But I do!" As I berkata that, I gave his friend a sharp blow between the shoulders. The boy was able to cough it up forcefully. Once he could talk again, he said, "Thank you." I said, "You're welcome. Are anda okay?" He said, "Yeah." Later, I was getting ready to head home. I then heard a voice saying, "Grace, wait up!" I turned around. It was the boy I saved earlier. He said, "I want to thank anda again for saving my life." I said, "Oh, it was nothing." He said, "Nothing? I would be dead if not for you." I said, "Okay, I guess it's a little something." As we walked to the bus, he said, "Everyone's talking about it. You're a hero, Grace." I said, "No, I'm not. I was just trying to do the right thing." He said, "I'm glad anda did." I then said, "Hey, anda know my name, but I don't know yours." He said, "Freddy." I said, "I'm glad I could help, Freddy." I later saw the story on the news channel. I berkata to my aunt, "I wasn't trying to be a hero. I was just doing the right thing." She said, "Grace, anyone who tries to do what's right is a hero. Own up to it."
