TDH's note: This part is short, but that's how I wanted it to be. Don't worry, lebih action and darkness will appear in later parts.
Training went really well today. Skipper had the other three work on some new moves, and everyone improved lebih then usual. Skipper was pleasantly surprised sejak this.
The one who improved the most was Kowalski. Usually, the tall penguin was rather clumsy with new techniques and was the slowest to learn them. But today he shined. During the three jam progress of training, he would always glance towards Marlene's direction to see if she was watching. Usually she was. When their eyes would meet, they would immediately look away, both blushing.
The only one who noticed the silence exchanges between the two was Private. The youngest penguin caught on quickly. He saw the look on Kowalski's face when he would glance at Marlene - how his cheeks would go merah jambu and a sparkle would appear in his eyes. Private hid a grin.
"Psst. Kowalski," Private whispered during Skipper's commands.
Kowalski looked away from Marlene and down at the young soldier. "Hmm?"
Private couldn't help but giggle. "I thought anda liked Doris."
"Huh?"
Private shook his head and his grin widened.
"Nevermind."
Skipper announced training was over.
"Good day, Men. I see some noticable improvements. Especially in you, Kowalski."
Kowalski smiled shyly.
"Thirsty," Rico gagged.
Skipper turned to Private.
"Mind making a few of your Cinta smoothies?"
"Not at all." Private exclaimed, and jumped down the fishbowl enterance. Rico and Skipper followed close behind. Skipper looked up at Kowalski and Marlene.
"Are anda two coming?"
"I'll be right there," Kowalski replied.
"I have to do some spring cleaning," Marlene answered.
Skipper left.
Kowalski turned to Marlene, who was gazing back at him.
"Uhh... y-you look great today..." Kowalski blushed, hoping not to make a fool out of himself.
"Thanks. anda worked hard today."
Kowalski blushed again.
"Umm..." He didn't know what else to say.
"I have to... go." Marlene pointed towards her exhibit.
"Oh, okay... I'll see anda later, then."
"Bye." Marlene smiled at Kowalski and turned to leave. Then she hesitated. She turned back and walked up to Kowalski.
"Umm..." Kowalski couldn't help but stare at her.
Marlene then planted a soft Ciuman on Kowalski's cheek. She ran away, back to her habitat.
Kowalski stared, unable to move. He couldn't deny this feeling anymore. It grew stronger and stronger inside of him, taking over his mind and body. It was obvious as to what this dominant feeling was.
He was in love.
