Author's note: none of anda will have ever heard of any of my Pokemon OCs, since they have stayed only in my head, until now. I just thought I'd try Penulisan down a story I made up about one of them. It may be a tad unrealistic, but... oh well. Enjoy, if you're reading. :3
Faye was walking along with her jolteon, Bolt, beside her. They were both feeling triumphant about winning their fifth Hoenn gym badge the sebelumnya day.
A faint banging noise came from the forest up ahead. It sounded as though something was being bashed against a rock.
'Wonder what that could be...' berkata Faye, quickening her pace slightly.
When they came to the forest, they saw it - and both let out a gasp.
A wild nidoking was relentlessly bashing none other than a poor silcoon against a rock!
'Silcoooooooooooon...!' came it's trembling voice.
Without wasting another second, Faye told Bolt to tackle the nidoking, which he did almost before she'd finished saying it. But just before he made contact, silcoon was bashed one lebih time against the rock and this time, there was a loud crack.
Time seemed to slow down. The nidoking was knocked over sejak Bolt's force, but rolled and stood back up again. Bolt saw the white eyes of the nidoking and realized he was blind. He must have thought the silcoon was a large aspear berry, atau something. Meanwhile, Faye ran to the injured silcoon, but it wasn't a silcoon anymore. It had cracked open to reveal:
'A beautifly...' Faye whispered. Bolt was explaining to the nidoking what he had done, much to the horror of the nidoking. However, Faye was gingerly picking up the beautifly.
'Come on, Bolt, we have to go!' she called.
Bolt turned and ran after her and they made their way to the pokemon center.
Beautifly was shaking... it certainly had not been ready to evolve... it had not yet grown any wings.
They sprinted to the pokemon center which, luckily, was just up ahead and burst through the doors.
'Nurse Joy!' cried Faye. 'No time to explain - this beautifly needs help!'
Nurse Joy gave a nod, took the beautifly and rushed to the operating room.
They waited. They waited and waited, both tense, Bolt's ears tuned in to every sound, Faye's fists clenched in her lap.
Finally, nurse Joy came out of the room.
'Beautifly's doing just fine. All it needs now is a good long rest.' she berkata merrily. Faye and Bolt let out a great sigh of relief. 'But how did it get into that state, anyway?'
Faye explained what had happened.
'Wow...' breathed nurse Joy. 'Pokemon get lebih and lebih Luar Biasa each day.'

Later, when beautifly had recovered, Chansey carried it to Faye and Bolt, smiling reassuringly. She put beautifly on the floor, where it walked towards them on all fours, like a chikorita, atau eevee.
It looked sadly at it's back, over it's shoulders.
'Beauuuuuuuuuutifly.' it said, mournfully.
'Now, now.' berkata Faye, 'We'll find a way to get anda airborne, mark my words.'
'Beautifly?'
'Sure we will! Right, Bolt?'
'Jolt!'
Beautifly looked happy.
'Beautifly, beautifly!' it said.
'So... would anda like to come along with us?'
There was a pause.
'Beautifly!' berkata beautifly, happily.
'Great! I think I'll name you... Navi. How does that sound?'
Beautifly nodded. Faye got a pokeball out and pressed the button, creating the red light that absorbed Navi into the ball. There were three flashes and then the usual 'Bing!' sound that indicated a pokemon had been caught.
'Thanks again, nurse Joy!' called Faye and left.
Over the seterusnya few days, Faye and her pokemon team (which now consisted of six pokemon) tried everything from wrapping Navi in bandages to allow her evolution to be completed, to making false wings similar to kites. Nothing seemed to work. It got lebih and lebih frustrating for all of them... but they never gave up.
Then, one day, Faye was battling with Navi against a trainer and his butterfree.
'Use stringshot, butterfree!'
'Dodge it, Navi!'
Navi dodged with an impressive backflip.
'Now finish it off with tackle!'
Navi did a running jump and collided powerfully with butterfree. Butterfree fell to the ground, tried to get up, but failed. It's swirly eyes indicated that the battle was over.
'All right! Great job, Navi!'
'Beautifly!'
'Wow, your beautifly doesn't even need wings!' berkata the trainer. 'But how come it doesn't have wings, anyway?'
'That's kind of a long story...' berkata Faye. She told the entire tale.
'Wow...' berkata the trainer when she had finished. 'Wish I could help with that problem.'
'Thanks.' berkata Faye. She looked at the trainer and his butterfree. Then a thought struck her.
'Hey, do anda think your butterfree could use stringshot on Navi?'
'Huh?'
'Maybe it would turn Navi back into a silcoon and then she could complete her evolution!'
The trainer looked doubtful.
'I don't know...' he said, slowly, 'stringshot has never had that effect on a beautifly before...'
'Nothing like THIS has ever happened before.' Faye pointed out.
'Fair point.'
They tried it. Three times. Then, the fourth time...
I don't think this is going to work... thought the butterfree's trainer to himself.
Suddenly, their was a white flash. Everyone held their breath. When the white flash was gone, there was a silcoon.
'Silcoon!!!' cried Navi.
'YES!!'
'JOLT!!'
Faye scooped Navi up and hugged her.
'Silcoon, silcoon!'
'Thank anda so much.' berkata Faye to the butterfree trainer.
'You're welcome!' he replied. 'Glad I could help.'

A few days later, after another battle with Navi, against a wild pokemon, there was another bright white flash. The white silhouette of a winged beautifly could be seen! Faye and Bolt gasped.
'Navi!'
The white disappeared and Faye and Bolt's mouths dropped open.
Navi's wings did not have the markings of a normal beautifly, atau even a shiny one. In fact, they were like nothing Faye atau Bolt had ever seen... They were beautiful.
'Beau..beau...beauuuuuuuuuuutifly!!' cried Navi, when she saw her wings and did several summersaults in mid air.
'Oh, Navi!' berkata Faye and stretched out her arm for Navi to hinggap, perch on. 'Your wings... they're beautiful.
'Beautifly.'

Author's note: and so, that is the story of how Navi's wings became the colour they are. I thought I'd leave that to your imagination, but I may post a picture of my drawing at a later date... if I remember to. :P
Oh and, sejak the way, for anyone who's wondering what happened to the blind nidoking, I always imagined the butterfree's trainer to go into the woods and catch it. It would just seem like a very happy ending. :3
