I have a soalan for American users...

It's not taught like that in schools at all. Back in 10th grade, I won a Debat in social studies class representing Japan. The Debat was, "Who started WWII. U.S. atau Japan" My teacher actually declared team Jepun the winner. So... Global history is looked upon as global. But there is alot of pride here. Some have it lebih than others, but it's basically patriotism. I don't exactly agree with everything our country does. As a matter of fact, I disagree with quite a bit of it. But I'm still an American, and I take pride in that. Just patriotism. If someone from IDK... Germany was waving their flag around saying, "We're number 1!" I'll understand. He/She is a proud German and I respect that. I hope I'm making sense, but yeah...

Funny... 'cause it kinda is XD I recall being really young, like 9 atau so, and being taught in social studies while learning about immigration that everyone wanted to come to America because it was a free country with so much opportunity and that being an immigrant to America changed people's lives.
When I got older, I had a history teacher who was extremely factual, and told us all about the hardships immigrants went through thanks to Americans. I can recall being 12 atau so and being completely shocked when I heard that XD Oh, what a naive child I was...

I don't exactly know what anda mean but America is for everyone, God made land for everyone but some people decided that America is only for them...

My dad's from America so i've grown up kinda like an American, but mainly in Australia and Britain.

I believe what they mean is that America a sort of 'outlawed' racism and inequality, and telah diberi it's people may freedomes not awarded in other countries therefore making it 'ideal'.

As a Canadian I feel discriminated against! soalan for everyone! Vote for a liberal fanpop!!!!!!

i rally dont know , the truth is that alot of countries see it in that way and one of them is mine ...

but i am not one of them , even though i like America , but i wouldn't considered it as "an ideal country " not even close ...

My Friends Spanish teacher told her that Spanish people think that American men all look like movie stars (I an plenty of women & men wish) and all American women were either extremely skinny atau extremely fat (untrue!! *coming from girl with size 0 pants*)

We're not taught straight out- We're the best.
But as we learn about our country and etc, we're basically taught that we're the overpowering country in a sense.

No, no I've never been taught that. At least in my school district, the teachers always taught us the facts. I learned the flaws along with the positives. "Ideal country," lmao. No one I know is that delusional.

NO. We might be taught our country is Awesome but not ideal.
