I need Opinion....

The thing is that i am the monitor of my class and its my duty to control them.But i cant control them.they never listen to me.nd when i speak a little louder my voice gets mixed with all the noise.i have been insulted a couple of times sejak teachers for not controlling my class and i feel very downhearted.so tell me if i should give up my post atau what?plz help!!!
