My sister once had a chinchilla but she passed away a couple of years ago. We had her for a long time.
That's the most exotic pet I think we've ever had. Unless particular breeds of cats/dogs could ever be considered "exotic"... XD

The most "exotic" pet we have is a cockatoo.
And he's a dick that likes to bite at people.
We also have a cockateil that likes to bite at people. But it's nice and sweet once you get it out of its cage and hold it.
We used to have wolves, too. But that was when I was little. Like 5 or 4 years old.

My sister has a pet monkey. Like technically I don't own it but a family member does.

Nope. Just a cocker spaniel who is salty towards people. I used to have a fish at 11 but I killed it.

Small-but-slightly-relevant-fact: Australia has a total ban on hamsters. There are classified as "exotic rodents" and are illegal for biosecurity reasons. Some states also ban pet rabbits.
