Definitely YES -- Richard Armitage would make a great international star. He merely needs to be selective about the offers that will certainly come his way from Hollywood. He's made great decisions in the past and will no doubt continue to do so in the future. Come to the USA Richard, we'll welcome you with open arms.

Hollywood will destroy his career. The first time they asked him to act with an American accent, it would be all over. He's too good for Hollywood. He has too much class; Hollywood has none. Hollywood is all about the money, not the quality of movies. All you have to do is walk into any video store and look at the crap on the walls. Look at what they're doing to Ricky Gervais. He's one of the five funniest comedians in the world today and as long as he's making movies here, he's selling out. Bringing someone of Richard's calibre to Hollywood and expecting him to be a hit is the same thing as all the BBC TV shows and movies Hollywood tries to "remake for American audiences" and fail...Men Behaving Badly, Coupling, The Office (Steve Carrell is no Ricky Gervais),etc. Why don't they just buy the rights to show the movies and TV shows here? Leave Richard right where he is, just make his DVDs more available to us.

I have mixed feelings about him coming to Hollywood. It would have to be just the right film.

Hollywood doesn't appreciate good actors. I'd rather he keeps shining star where he belongs. Unless they offer him several projects that would fit his plans. Otherwise... STAY AWAY FROM HOLLYWOOD!

Yes!-but it must a reeaallly good movie--a role where he is redeemed...lol..Ive seen him play a character balancing on horrible and evil for so long that I would love to see him as a good character!..haha-I know that Hollywood has lot of negative aspects but it does have some really amazing people in it-you just have to look hard to see it, sometimes harder than others:D...lol
Anyway,I think that Armitage can carry a lead role, and it would be so awesome to see him at his best as a good character:)cause we all know he do evil/horrible *very* well-haha

American movies are crap and so predictable. The acting and scripts are getting worse every year. British film and TV is the best in the world. Their scriptwriters and actors are far superior to their US counterparts. Richard should stick with UK productions. Hollywood only corrupts.

I've seen a few great US & UK films, and many totally crappy ones from both countries as well. An actor needs to be selective when choosing the other collaborators for a movie - producer/director/etc - Richard's been in the business long enough to make those wise decisions on either side of the Atlantic. It will be wonderful to see him one day on the big screen.
Listen up Hollywood!! George Clooney & Brad Pitt are borrrrring...offer Richard Armitage a quality role and your profit margin will exponentially increase. The emphasis is on the word 'quality' - none of those with lazy writers who use the F word every other one, in an attempt to make amends for their severe lack of writing skills.

I could see him being the next Clive Owen (with more emotional range). But I'm torn if I want Hollywood to have him or not.

In a way its good because it gives him the recognition he deserves for his talent. However, Hollywood tends to change people, and I would hate to see that happen to Richard.

I thought about it, and decided no, I couldn't stand it if Hollywood tried to change him one little bit, and they would. I would love to see him do more period films like North and South though. Let Hollywood continue on with their lousy productions, but hopefully the British filmmakers will give us more of the Richard we saw in North and South, and Robin Hood.
