Sleeping Beauty(1950)

Ok I know that its from Walt Disney’s time and all but seriously I do not know why so many people Cinta this movie. The story is about a princess who is cursed on her 16th birthday sejak an evil Queen who cast the spell on her (she pricks her finger on a spinning wheel and she falls into a deep sleep………Snow White anyone?) ,the 3 Pari-pari bring her to a forest where she lives in a cottage and she falls for a prince named Philip. But will Maleficent find her??. Made in the 1950s this film is very poorly done I mean the princess is like a fecking dummy she NEVER TALKS only a few lines, same goes for that stupid prince Philip who doesn’t talk either much I mean COME ON WHY ??. The fight scene between Maleficent and that Prince was alright but very R rated(did anda see the blood on the dragon). A movie that made fun of it was Enchanted and let me tell ya whether anda like it atau not It was 100% better than Sleeping Beauty. I demand a remake of this and have lebih Aurora and Philip time besides that Maleficent character.

chericherry i disagreed. 'Sleeping Beauty' is considered one of Disney's Masterpieces. anyone see the background all around us? the art is magnificent.

princesslullaby I'm surprised you think this, seeing as that Giselle is partially modeled off Aurora, and so many scenes in Enchanted are from that movie. Personally I think you have no taste for culture.

LisaForde Excuse me I do like culture but come on who in their own mind would watch a movie with No talking whatsoever. It sucked end of story and if you really don’t like Enchanted then why do you bother watching it then??. Huh .And the only parts Enchanted mocks is the dragon scene and the statue scene where Giselle is dreaming off her prince.

kiraragirl200 Sleeping Beauty beats Enchanted any day imo The spell was originally supposed to KILL HER not put her into a deep sleep, Merryweather changed it to make her fall into the deep sleep. Why exactly are Aurora and Philip dummies? You really never explained that. Just because a battle shows a small bit of blood doesn't make it R-rated, at least I don't think so. I don't feel that this movie needs to be remade, I think it's fine the way it is. I respect your opinion but please explain your reasons more.

princesslullaby Seriously. I totally agree with kiraragirl200. I don't see how Aurora or Phillip are dumb. And again, Giselle is very similar to Aurora. So If you don't like Aurora, or any of the other classc princesses, you shouldn't like Giselle. And LisaForde, obviously if you can't watch a movie without talking, you're missing out on a lot of fantastic movies!

LisaForde Look here is why I hate Sleeping Beauty #1 No dialogue whatsoever (and I like a movie with a lot of dialogue). #2 The songs were ok #3 No romance well there was a bit but I want more romance. #4 The reason why I said Auroua and Prince Philip were dumb was because their was NO dialogue for either of them only a few sentences here and there. #5 Seriously the dragon scene was the best part but I wanted to hear Prince Philip saying Maleficent where is she I need to know where she is. Oh and I love the rest of the princesses Princess Lullaby and just because I don’t like Sleeping Beauty doesn’t mean I hate Enchanted in fact its better because there is real romance between Giselle and Robert, the dragon scene was done brilliant e.g Giselle told Narissa that she is not going to let her take Robert away from her and finally its more magical, more funnier and not boring. So please can you just stop annoying me over this piece of garbage because honestly you are getting on my nerves so pick on someone else and not at me ok. P.s I love Snow White,TLM,Beauty & the beast ,Aladdin etc and Enchanted mocks these movies so that doesn’t mean that I hate Enchanted I love that movie.

So please Princess Lullaby why do you like Sleeping Beauty so much hey it was made in the 1950s but seriously what was so great about a movie with No dialouge. Oh and I suppose you think Hannah Montana the movie sucks or lets see ah HSM3;Senior Year.

alexon31 Sorry to disagree with you but I think this movie (as many other Disney´movies) is a complete masterpiece, from the storytelling, to the character´s dessign, to the fantastic music, and to the very elaborated and beautifully designed backgroungs. A wonderfull movie.

MariahRG Hey um so im not going to trash you LisaForde over voicing your opinion but I don't think you had enough evidence to back up your reasoning. Which further more just proves the lack of attention you actually payed the movie. Your "reasonings were "Not enough romance"-it's a kids movie, and yes it may be from the 50's but you also said you love the movie Snow White? So what gives with the lame "its from the 50's excuse,"<-Sorry, but not good enough And the R-rated blood reasoning, if you think about it it wasnt an over the top gory scene, it clearly just showed, if you get stabbed with a knife (because your evil)YOU WILL DIE lol evidently meaning you will bleed. Or the whole "They never talk" im sorry but total B.S. they do, but you have to remember it was more of a total view of all the characters in the story, Aurora didn't speak much because she was asleep, Prince Philip was imprisoned by Maleficent. So not much can go on there with romance and speaking if they are separated for most of the movie Oh, and i believe you said that the songs were "Ok" Well if you knew any bit of facts about the movie at ALL you would know that the woman who gave voice to Auroras character was an opera singer, so no matter what she was singing, it was fantastic. Oh, and why the heck would prince Philip need to specifically say "Where is Maleficent" When Maleficent captured him, imprisoned him, chased him, found him again and chose to have a battle with him right then and there. There was no time for him to say that. So please, if you truly "hate" this movie come up with more scholarly values to prove your pessimistic view on this masterpiece made by the creator of the whole Disney company himself, Walt Disney.

It’s funny how quickly things have changed.
Everything in my life has been rearranged.
My whole life I thought I was a peasant.
Now I find out I’m a Princess; what a birthday present.
From now on I’ll live in a castle, no lebih frolicking in the forest.
I should be ecstatic, but instead I’m depressed.
Earlier today I met a stranger.
I was unsure about him at first, but soon realized I wasn’t in any danger.
Yes, Cinta was in the air.
But now I’ll never see him again and that’s so unfair.
Come to find out I am betrothed to marry a Prince.
The thought of marrying someone I don’t Cinta makes me wince.
My dreams have been shattered.
My thoughts are so scattered.
I had wanted to see him again, so I gave him an invite.
He is supposed to come over tonight.
He doesn’t know yet that I won’t be there.
I feel like I’m in the depths of despair.
Now I must force a smile and put on my crown.
But deep in my hati, tengah-tengah I will wear a frown.
