i think i can predict this response on a spuffy spot :)

Spike and Buffy never really got a chance because he was to buzy dying for her.

Same here, Buffy and Spike had done terrible things together that they need to forget the past and have Buffy to enjoy her life with Spike, Also at the end of season 7 Buffy felt very happy what Spike did to save the world for everyone and especially Buffy:)

As this is the Spuffy spot there's probably only going to be one answer, lol.

And even if they don't end up together I would like to see them have some resolution in their relationship.

I'd love for Spike and Buffy to end up together and we might get that if we get a movie beacuse of DB busy on Bones. James is always working or touring (I'm all for him as a regular on Torchwood) but he seems to be available for anything that catches his eye. The man does not stop (why am I now all weird creepy smile like?). I don't think a movie will happen because SMG doesn't seem to want to go back to it, if Sex and the City does well I think there is a small window. Fox seems to be supporting Dollhouse so we will have to worry about Joss.

The relationship between Buffy and Spike was much more developed. In Bangel I just feel that it was there, no buildup for me. Buffy was writing in her diary how much she liked him right away after so few meetings. With Spike it was the growth of enemies to disgruntled allies to lovers and then in season seven I think it was very emotional and loving. They have their hurtles but they are on the same level, Angel always treated Buffy like a loftly angel but Spike loves her lightness and her dark. He loves Buffy, Angel fell for an idea of something that was pure to help redeam himself.

That's what I always thought about Bangel, it just seems more like a teenage crush puppy dog love, than epic love. Spike and Buffy's relationship grew and developed over the years.

I do know Joss said he would abandon everything in the comics if he could get a movie done, but that it was unlikely. And I'm not sure if Buffy knows he's alive, her last mention of him in the comics was when she was telling someone about what happens to people who love her and she mentioned he died.

Yea, I remember her reading that so I can only hope for a reunion. I keep waiting to get an issue and have Andrew let it slip or something along those lines. I have a little image in my head of Buffy going to LA and (even though it is in Hell, I'm leaving that vital bit out), and throughly kicking Spike's ass for not coming to tell her he was back before kissing him. Very violent and yet romantic.

Yes, Joss did say he would throw it all out the window if he did live action and as much as I like the comics I want more, in particular a certain bleach blond character that Dark Horse doens't have the rights to.

Okay well iLOVE Bangel, so i would rather see them together in a Film, as i think Angel was Buffys one truee love. even though i still like Spuffy, i would rather see Spike&Dru together :]
