In the series, Stiles' first name is yet to be revealed. It seems like it is a difficult name to pronouce and he prefers being called Stiles which is derived from Stilinski.

I think that it is yet to be discovered. It will be told a lot later if ever in the series. I mean if the series is all of a sudden canceled then peminat-peminat will never know. The name is going to be carefully picked to as they have one shot and don't want to mess it up. But in season 1x05 the name appeared like enim Stillinski. This is a better answer here: link
