Hikage Sumino is a shy 8th Grader who is described as `plain`. The only Friends she has at the beginning of the series are the people who visit her blog. Hinata becomes her first friend at her school, when he found her locked in a room, as the class members had locked the soor behind them, not knowing that Hikage was still inside. Hinata then tells her that he has `always looked at her`, since he saw her get hit sejak a car to save a cat (As the driver claims he `only saw the cat`) which touches Hikage, and becomes her friend, giving her support, and noticing her when others do not.
