Also, it was so stupid of Sam to drain his blood to get the codex. Even if it didn't kill him, he was obviously in no shape to keep Rowena from just taking it from him and leaving him to die. This whole situation with her is not going to end well of course. He's playing with fire. She's too dangerous and amoral to let anywhere near the Book of the Damned. She just wants it for her own devices.
