Supernatural Not that relevant, but is anyone else getting a "Buffy S6" vibe off this year?

Sam came back wrong = Buffy come back wrong..just sayin' :)
i just hope we don't have a whole season of Sam whining about how no one understands and how empty he is inside..can you imagine how ridiculous it would be if Sam suddenly started having inappropriate monster-sex to feel alive and....oh, hang on a sec... :D

Actually I was thinking more along the lines of that it feels like the writers trying to make the characters grow up- and the audience along with them. Having a kind of outside reality intrude. Taking the characters to places that some of the fans aren't comfortable with. Dean's domestic life being the big example.

But you make some great correlations with Sam coming back 'wrong', Lucy. That's very Buffy S6 too. If only he hasn't already had inappropriate monster-sex several seasons ago.... lmao.

I hadn't really thought about it really, but now that you point it out, it is somewhat similar.

I was saying that last week to my sister and dad. Plus, I said it aloud to myself after the second or third episode. But hey, I loved Buffy S7, so maybe it'll get better.

There's also the similarity that Buffy changed networks, and SPN changed show runners. Gotta say, I'm not loving Sera Gamble's work so far.
