i was soooooo nervous before but i ended up LOVING IT

i was so happy that there was redemption for Castiel <3

and it's cool that Misha gets to play a completely different character now...

YES YES YES. :D I IZ SO EXCITED. & Can I just? I never saw Misha as a good actor because he plays Cas so flat (duh, Angel, he has to, I know :P) but now !! after seeing that? He's REALLY good!

yeah, his acting was AMAZING !

It was just so dramatic, poor Cas. The ending was just so freaky :S

Misha was AMAZING! I LOVED this episode!

additionally: Death, Crowley, Mark Pellegrino as Lucifer ! what a treat !!

It was awesome, I'm glad Misha is more then a one note actor on this show now. He did great! :)

It totally was insane! But every concept of it was to the max! And I really like that :D It is already a favorite episode in my book. xD

Wow! It was AMAZING! I think Sera Gamble really stepped up with this episode! Hopefully the rest of the season will continue like this! :)

@Dean-girlx - I think you're underestimating how hard it actually is to play a character as straight-faced and emotionally "flat" as Cas. I also think he did an amazing job of distinguishing Jimmy from Castiel in The Rapture, not only with his voice but through facial expressions, gestures, etc. I could go on but anyway my point is that I think Misha has already proven himself to be a good actor but he was amazing in tonight's episode! :)

WOW! I was utterly speechless. It was an amazing season premiere, and very surprising to say the least.

It played out so well I really stoked for next week

Awesome. Just incredible. There are so many facets to this episode that I loved. Castiel's rampage as God, striking down sinners. Death- I love this guy, I really do. Sam's hallucinations. Dean fixing Metallicar. Leviathans! I am superexcited about this development. It's going to be awesome to see Misha play this role- I can already tell I'm going to love it. Although I do hope Cas isn't gone for good.

Um, are there words for how epic it was? No. So ready for next weeks episode now!

i can i just say to all u above how much i love you...lol but seriously i've been hearing dean-bashing all over tumblr and not one of u said anything like that.

but as for the episode...i loved it so much, it was funny, heartbreaking, and dark all the things that make supernatural episodes so fantastic...we're gonna have a good time

I liked it, it kept me jumping up and down and being a freak but Dean kind of ruined it for me, he just gave up and it really pissed me off!

That was one of the best season premieres of Supernatural ever, IMHO. I loved this episode. Castiel kicking ass as God, Crowley hiding away in a trailer (LOL), Death being his usual badass self, Lucifer making a surprise guest appearance – wow, just wow. And once again, the show proved to be utterly unpredictable; Meet the New Boss completely destroyed my expectations for season 7 in one fell swoop. I thought for sure that Cas would have a longer tenure as God, but he was depowered (and even apparently killed) within the first episode! Never ever would I have seen that coming. Looks like the big bad(s) will be the Leviathans who've taken over Cas' meat suit (poor Jimmy Novak.) I'm really digging the concept behind these new creatures and I'm looking forward to learn and see more of them. Hopefully, we'll get a glimpse of what they really look like.

All in all, Meet the New Boss was a very strong episode and I couldn't possibly be more pumped for the new season.

I loved it! Every once in awhile I'm afraid that they're gonna run out of interesting story lines! hasn't happened yet and I'm sooo happy! leviathan was a great idea! p.s.^josch, the leviathans are a pair (male and female)of dragon-like very evil, intelligent sea monsters from the bible; they'd look powerfull and ugly by the description; I wonder if they'll show them or change their description. can't wait to see!
