The fallowing hari Duncan got up at 6:00 am along with Lilly and had to dump an entire bucket of water on Gwen to get her up. Gwen grumbled something under her breath but got up and asked where she could... Well pee. He told her and she went. She then came back just in time for broth. The three sat at the meja, jadual in silence till Lilly spoke up.
"So...um... How do anda know the princess..?"
"None of your business." Gwen growled. This made Duncan mad but he shrugged it off.
Silence.
"Well....um...I packed anda two a pack and saddled it onto Blackjack.... It has got food, water, and supplies..." she trailed off. Duncan told her thanks and the three ate in silence. Finally they finished and walked outside where there horse Blackjack was saddled and ready to go. Gwen seemed to be looking for something.
"Looking for an escape Sweetheart?"
Gwen rolled her eyes. "And now your going to add 'Cause that is never going to happen' and chuckle at your own idiotic joke." Duncan seemed to stare in shock because... Well that's what he had intended on doing. Gwen continued. "Anyway, I was looking for the other horse." Duncan did all he could to hold back his laughter. Lilly looked kind of embarrassed. "We do not have a saat horse.... We can't afford one. We we were lucky Geoff's mother could give us Blackjack here." she berkata petting his main. Lilly loved horses. Duncan would have to add that to the senarai of things to get when he found the princess.
"Yep sweetheart, your going to have to hold on to me until we find the girl." he said, giving her a wink. He could tell she was trying to hide a smile that would lead to laughter and keep her pissed state so she changed the subject.
"So who's this Geoff guy?"
"Depends on who is asking." Right at that moment Geoff rode up on his horse. He hopped off his horse and strolled over to the threesome. "Geoff what are anda doing here?" Geoff laughed. "You think I am going to let anda leave without saying goodbye? Also, who is the girl?" The blond asked. Duncan shrugged as he border the horse. "Girl who tried to rob my house." Geoff stared in shock. Duncan attempted to help Gwen on the horse but she swatted his hand away and got on herself almost falling twice. Geoff finally shook it off and spoke.
"So Uh... Why is she coming?"
"She has a name." Gwen piped in. "It's Gwen. And she's coming because she happens to be an important part of this mission." she berkata in a huff. Geoff gave Duncan a look and Duncan shrugged again.
"I think it is about time we go." Gwen said. Duncan nodded his head. "We are off then. Geoff remember what anda promised, Lilly I'll write you, and Gwen, anda better hold on." Gwen rolled her her eyes and held on to his shoulders leaving as much angkasa between them as she could. Duncan smirked. "Might want to hold on tighter than that!" he yelled. And before Gwen could make any komen about they took off. She yellows as she almost fell off the horse. She did her little grumbling but then placed her arms loosely around his waste. He could hear Geoff and Lilly yelling goodbyes but soon it faded and it was just him and Gwen.
Great.
"So which way are we going first Sunshine?"
"Sunshine?"
"Ya," he smirked. "It Suits you."
He could hear her scoff. "Sure it does. anda should just keep going strait. We will eventually end up at a town I need to speak with some Friends before I go......". Duncan did not really feel like stopping to meat her 'Friends' but he was willing to give her this since he was making her go on a journey with him, who he just met. Gwen spoke up again. "I do not think we will make it there sejak today so we will have to brake for camp..... It is not selamat, peti deposit keselamatan to travel at night." Duncan rolled his eyes. "And why is that?"
"Would anda just listen to me?!"
Silence.
That is how the rest of the ride was neither of the 2 spoke. Then finally night came and they found a selamat, peti deposit keselamatan looking place to camp. They hopped of Blackjack and Duncan removed the small packs off of his saddle. He then told Gwen he would start the api, kebakaran if she could manage to make a meal out of what little they had which was some goat meat, katniss roots, and some dried fruit. They would have to get lebih in the town Gwen talked about.
So he went in the woods to get some api, kebakaran wood. Most would call Duncan stupid for leaving Gwen alone with their supplies, horse, and Makanan but Lilly trusted her so he would have to learn to also.
As soon as he found enough wood he returned to their small camp to find that Gwen had there Makanan ready and had found some wild nuts. He started the api, kebakaran and Gwen really just cooked everything on the fire. The two sat in front of it, of course, in silence. A smile formed on Gwen's face as she watched the flames dance and took a bite of the dried fruit. "When I was little, me and my father would always go outside...and we would light a small fire... We would look at the stars. And we would stay out there for hours.. If my mom would not have come to tell us to go inside we would have stayed out there forever... Just me and him.." Gwen berkata out of the random. She seemed to be in a trance as she stared up at the sky. Duncan chuckled. "Wish I could say the same for my father. He never really liked anything I did... But I was always the trouble maker. He mostly was mad that I did not want to be a... Well hero.. Like all my family is. Like Lilly's going to be." this time Gwen laughed. "Yet your going out to be that hero now."
"Hey I am only doing this for the money!" He defended.
"Sure..." Gwen paused as she seemed to tense up. Now out of her little not-such-a-Grouch state. She stood up. "We have to leave. NOW." she demanded. "What, why? anda berkata it's not selamat, peti deposit keselamatan to ride at n-" Then the goblin jumped on his back. He let out a cry of pain as it dug it's teeth into his flesh. He quickly reached for his small pisau that he kept in a small bag. He quickly stabbed the goblin. Green slime covered his knife. The goblin's lame body lay on the ground dead. He looked around for Gwen. She was nowhere in sight. "Gwen?!" he yelled. "DUNCAN!" she screamed. He turned around to see just a bit of blue and black locks be dragged into the tall grass. The goblins are quick. He ran to Blackjack and hopped on. "GIVE ME BACK MY HUMAN MAP!" he yelled as they took off following the sound of a girls yelps and screams.
They soon began to approach a part where the woods became swamp-like. Duncan hopped off Blackjack and told the horse to stay. He quickly snuck threw the woods until he heard the noises of goblins. He found a spot where he could see them without being seen. The goblins danced in a bulatan chanting what he made out to be....Zeke? He then saw on a large stump in the middle of the dancing bulatan was a large goblin. Who seemed to be about his height. Maybe shorter. He did not look like other goblins. He looked like a man, just with green skin, red eyes, and 2 atau 3 strands of hair. He wore a crown made of sticks and was holding Gwen bridal style making lovey-dovey eyes at her. Gwen had a look of disgust and annoyance on her face. That is until King Zeke (He was guessing.) held Gwen over his head and yelled "QUEEN!" Then, it went to shock.
How was he supposed to rescue her. He thought of all the puppet shows he and his brother and Lilly would always watch in the village square. This wouldn't help thoe.... In those the knight was always fighting a dragon, not trying to get an annoying girl from a lovestruck man-goblin. Duncan looked at his surroundings. He saw trees, and vines, and.....A goblin. Actually a lot of goblins. Angry looking ones to. He looked back the find only the king and not the dancing goblins. The two groups kind of just sat there until a goblin yelled "ATTACH!" of course one word came to his mind.
Run.
He sprinted to the pokok with vines hanging down. He climbed up the tree, goblins on his tail. He finally found a branch with long vines sejak it. He grasped the vine and took a deep breath then jumped off of the branch. He wanted to scream but how heroic would that look? He zoomed past the man-goblin, grabbing Gwen as he did that. "Hold on!" he yelled as he held her tightly in one arm. She held onto him tightly hiding her face in the crook of his neck. He then let go of the vine causing them to fall on there faces. As Duncan got up he already had a goblin biting his leg. He pushed Gwen into the woods. "GO FIND BLACKJACK!" he yelled as he stabbed the creature. Gwen nodded her head and ran into the woods. Duncan shook the dead goblin off just as soon as another jumped on his head, pulling out his hair. He then felt another one jump on his arm, then another on his leg, his waist, his thigh. The covered him. He lashed at them with his pisau hitting few. He soon fell over, unable to use his knife. His hand was the only thing that stuck out from the sea of goblins. His life flashed before his eyes. His dad, Mom, Lilly, Danny, Geoff, His other brothers. He was pretty sure Gwen had ditched him until he felt a soft small hand grab his own large one. Gwen used all her might to pull him up and onto the horse. "Might wanna hold on!" she yelled as Blackjack took off leaving the sea of goblins and there weird king behind. He then felt dizzy and then.... Passed out.
(BAM! 2nd chapter and already a fight! I had to add zombie Zeke in here guys! I HAD to! So this is my first time Penulisan a fight scene! What did ya think?
