THE NOT SO PERFECT REUNION
A Nicecatch42 Version of the Percabeth Reunion

VERSION 1

Annabeth stared out into the horizon. Barely a mile away, the famous San Fransisco skyline poked out into the sky, the skyscrapers reflecting the light down into the Oakland Hills.

The Roman Camp was close. She could feel it in her blood. Somewhere nearby, Percy was waiting for her with a dozen other campers.

Jason was at the front of the ship, trying to make his hair wave in the wind. Apparently, Mr.Grace was out there for style points.

Annabeth could also see Piper, trying on high heels in the corner. A couple hundred boxes were stacked in the garbage can, just the remenants of shoes she had tried and denied. She still had a hundred more lined up for the `Great Try-On’.....but don’t laugh, she is not a fashion freak.

On the side of the boat, Leo was crying. Annabeth felt bad for him-after all, it had been a pretty embarrassing moment for Valdez when he had admitted that he was scared of fire.

“I don’t like the fire on my hands!” he had bawled the other night. “It hurts my eyes!”

The result of his confession was complete amusment-Jason laughed, Annabeth laughed, and Piper tried on shoes.

Even though the rest of her crew was pretty down, Annabeth was surprisingly merry, and who could blame her? She was going to reunite with the famous Percy Jackson.

The ship began its slow descent. The sun glowed in the distance, and the inhabitants of the Argo could make out the tiny Roman campers below.

Annabeth had to admit-the camp was beautiful. There were towers, shops, and stunning walkways.

It was a perfect moment....now all she needed to do was find Percy. There was a loud thud as the ship landed on the ground. All the Romans pointed their spears up at the ship, but two people, a girl and a boy in a purple robe, pushed themselves through the crowd and stopped the impending battle.

Everyone stared at the girl as she made some pro-Greek speech about the war, but Annabeth didn’t care. She was only focusing on the boy.

The sea green eyes. The long black hair.

As if in a trance, she walked down a ramp and stood face to face with the boy.

He was tall, and he smelled like sea-salt. There was a strand of grey hair on his head.
It was to good to be true.

“Percy?” whispered Annabeth in disbelief.

The sun seemed to glow a bit brighter as the boy threw of his hood.

“No,” he said. “I’m Max, his half-brother. Percy Jackson died a long time ago! Get up to date, girl!”

LMFAO.

PROLOGUE: PERCY JACKSON AND THE MYSTERIOUS EXPLORER!


Percy dove through the bushes, his friends close behind him. Toxic spluttered out of the monster pursuing them, but it could only graze Percy’s leg as he rolled into the undergrowth.

The monster had decided to follow them into the bush. Annabeth Chase, who had jumped in before Percy, turned around and threw a knife at it, but the savage beast whirled away.

Poison went flying everywhere as their enemy went on an outrage. Finally, Percy managed to draw his sword.

In a flash of bronze, the warrior turned around and beheaded all 10 heads of the Hydra that had been bothering them for a good half an hour.

There were only ragged breaths and relieved sounds heard over that next minute. Finally, Percy found the strength to raise his head and look at his friends.

Annabeth Chase’s golden hair was stained with dirt, and Nico’s shirt had a tear on it. Thalia was bleeding from her lip, but otherwise looked okay.

Jason looked absolutely fine except for the fact that his hair had been messed up. He was practically crying as he tried restyling the gel.

“Why?” he moaned. “Why must it be my hair that gets ruined?! Oh, the agonyyyy!”

“Relax, little bro,” coaxed Thalia. “You were still pretty ugly, even with those spikes. Just let it go.”

“U-ugly?” cringed Jason, but no one paid attention to him

There was a rustle of leaves. Jason whimpered as Nico looked at Percy.

“Did you hear that?”

“Yeah.....what about you, Annabeth?”

“I heard it. Thalia?”

“I heard something too....wait, we all heard the same thing, right?”

Everyone took a moment to give her a strange look before turning their attention back to the sound.

“Someone is coming,” predicted Annabeth. “Or something....”

The footsteps got closer, and then there was a another horrifying sound.
“It sounded like a monkey,” whispered Percy. “A really mean, powerful monkey!”

Everyone began to back up. Whatever was approaching was NOT friendly. Tension was in the air as everyone directed their gaze to where they heard the sound. It was getting closer, and closer.

Finally, a figure-no, two figures pushed their way into the clearing.

“Hey, look, a football!” exclaimed Jason happily.

One of the figures turned to face him.

“That is not a football,” she said in an epic voice. “That is my head.”

Percy furrowed his brow.

“Who are you, strange lady, and why is there a monkey next to you?”

The girl tipped her head up, her long brown hair covering her football-head.

“I am Dora the Explorer, Slayer of the Troll Under The Bridge, Owner of the Map and Guardian of the Backpack.”

I'm having a de ja vu moment right now.... Jk; but lol, DORA!

Lol I may be a girl but I'm no good at writing romance I'm better at drama or emotion. I think it may be because I haven't actually had that much romance in my life I don't know.
