Cal was the better man for her then jack because he gave her everything she wanted but she rejected him in favor of that stupid gutter rat jack. rose was a fool for choosing jack over Cal. Cal is rich and jack was poor Cal is clean jack is dirty. rose needed to marry Cal no matter if he was abusive or not.
