So the seterusnya day, after meeting Courtney, I bump into Bridgette after school.

"Gwen, right", asked Bridgette.

"Yeah. ...Bridgette?"

"Yeah."

"Hi, what's up?"

"A couple of Friends and I are getting together and going to a club. Wanna come?"

"That's sounds fun!"

"Great! I'll come sejak your dorm at 8 o'clock."

"Okay, see anda then." As I walked off, I saw Duncan. "Hi, Duncan."

"Hey." He smiled at me. "Wanna get a coffee?"

"That sounds great! But first, do anda have the time?"

"It's 7 p.m., why?"

"I'm just going out with a few Friends at 8."

"Not three days in and you're already starting to party? You're my kind of woman."

I blushed and smiled. "Let's go get that coffee."

"Okay."

We walked together to a place called the Java Hut and when we got inside, we walked to meja, jadual for two. Duncan pulled out my chair for me.

"Thank you." I sat down.

"You're welcome." He went and sat across from me.

A petite, blonde waitress came up to our table. "Welcome to the Java Hut! What would anda like to have?"

"I'll have a small coffee with two creams and one sugar", I said.

"I'll have a small coffee. Black, please", berkata Duncan.

"Coming right up!" She ran off, leaving Duncan and I alone at the meja, jadual again.

"So what high school did anda go to", Duncan asked me.

"West Academy."

"Me too!"

"Really? Cool!"

The waitress came back with our coffees. "Here anda go!"

"Thanks", I said.

"Thank you", berkata Duncan.

"You're welcome!" She walked off.

As Duncan and I continued talking, I didn't know that the time had passed. It was soon 7:30 p.m.. Duncan walked me back to my dorm. With a hug goodbye, I walked into my room. As I turned on the lights, I was startled sejak Courtney, who was sitting up on her bed.

"Um, why were anda sitting in the dar-"

"Where were you", Courtney interrupted me.

"I went to get a coffee with Duncan."

"Duncan who?"

"I don't know his last name."

"I believe that's something anda should know."

"Why are anda questioning me?"

"Forget it."

"Good. Now I have to get ready."

"For what?"

"I'm going out with Bridgette and few of her Friends in half an hour."

"Why wasn't I told about this?"

"I just told you..."

"I meant earlier!"

"Okay, calm down."

Courtney sighed. "I'm sorry for overreacting."

"It's okay." I started looking for a partying dress to wear.

Courtney grabbed a book from under her bantal and started reading.

30 minit later, I was dressed in a red and black baju singkat, halter dress, with skull earrings. After another 20 minutes, I started getting tired. After another 10 minutes, it was 9 p.m.. I then started to change into my pajamas. After that, I grabbed my cell phone and called Bridgette.

"Hello?"

"Bridgette, where are you?"

" I'm at the club with my boyfriend."

"You bailed on me?!"

"I'm so sorry!"

"Ugh!" I hung up.

"Everything okay", Courtney asked.

"No. Bridgette bailed on me."

"Oh. I'm sorry."

"It's not your fault."

"I know it's not. But still." She got off her katil and came over to me and hugged me.

I hugged back. "Thanks."

"You're welcome." She smiled. "We can finally get to know each other now."

"Well, I don't know."

"Come on, please?"

"Okay, okay." I smiled. "My mom is so...like a mom. She always calls me her little girl and acts like I'm still a child."

"OMG! My mom does that too!" We both laugh. "Do anda have any siblings?"

"Oh, um...I had a brother."

"Had?"

"He was hit sejak a drunk driver when he was riding his bike in the street."

"I'm so sorry to hear that."

"It's okay. I even got his name tattooed on my chest."

"Can I see?"

I pulled my kolar baju down and showed Courtney my tattoo.

"Greg."

"Yeah. That's the name of my brother."

"Oh."

"Yeah."

"Um, we should get some rest."

"Good idea."

Courtney went to her katil and we both fell asleep.
