"What do anda MEAN my cousin is living with us?" I shouted, obviously shocked sejak my mother's announcement.
"She has nowhere else to go!" Mom exclaimed. "And her parents are in a custody battle over her, so she's going to stay out of it until the final decision is made."
"We don't have any spare bedrooms for her to stay in, though!"
"Sweetie, we have four bedrooms in this house. We have plenty of room for her." She twisted the door handle and opened my door to walk out. She stopped outside the open door and turned around. "Don't worry, it will just be for a little while," my mom assured me. "You'll be amazed at how well you'll get along." She walked back to me, kissed me on the cheek and walked back to the door. She whispered, "Goodnight, Gwenneth, dear," as she turned off my light and closed the door. Her Ciuman still tingled upon my cheek.
I was left in my dark room to think about what I'd just heard from my mother.
As I lay in my lumpy bed, staring at the cream-white ceiling in the dark, I began to think out loud to myself.
"I can't believe my mom tells me this the night before my cousin comes," I sighed, closing my eyes as I began to imagine what my relative looked like.
"What did she mean by, 'You'll be amazed at how well you'll get along'? Is she a goth? atau is she just lying so I won't worry?"
I imagined a tall, skinny girl with long, spiky black hair, a black Three Days Grace band t-shirt, dark blue saggy jeans, and combat boots on.
Then the image in my mind changed into a bubbly beach-blonde with a neon merah jambu polo, a mini-skirt with merah jambu kitties on it and- anda guessed it- merah jambu heels 6 inches tall. The image was so bright it nearly hurt my head to imagine it.
As I began to drift off to sleep, I started to sincerely hope that my cousin wasn't anything like that saat image in my head.
