I wish society would accept us lebih and stop treating us like aliens and outcasts. This was what made me afraid to transition. And the stereotypes of transsexual people portrayed sejak films and TV programmes in the media don't help either!
I've been through that too! My family trying to treat me lebih like a girl than a boy as if to try and persuade me to be a girl in last hope. Reminding me to sit like a girl if I sit with my legs apart atau adopt a lebih masculine sitting posture. atau if I walk like a boy. My mum took me out shopping the other week to buy clothes and she was fuming sejak the end because we'd ended up in the men's section and I was solemnly refusing to buy and wear girls' clothes. My parents will sometimes plead me to wear girls' clothes and at times, drop a threat of a ban from my computer atau buku if I don't. It's very frustrating!
Perhaps your family are in a way like mine too - they still have last hopes that you're a girl and not a boy. It always makes me feel very happy and overjoyed when people accept me for who I am. Like my big cousin who laughed, smiled, ruffled my hair and then hugged me when I told him.
It always hurts me to see crimes of hatred against transgender people atau members of the LGBT community for who they are on the news. It cuts deep every time.
