A soalan for people who saw New Moon: A symbol from the book cover?

In the scene where Carlyle is addressing Bella's wounds they tunjuk a bowl where they put used up bandages. Maybe it's just me but doesn't it look kind of like the bunga on the original cover to New Moon? I remember in the first movie(even though it was a different director) they showed the epal, apple so I watched for stuff like that while watching this one.
