    "Okay, I don't know who pissed anda off, but it surely wasn't me. So, here's the sitch, anda will sit down and fight along side of us, atau anda can get your keldai out of here, before I do it for you." Not onlly did this guy piss me off, he really got under my skin.
    He was silent for a minute, and a girl behind him stood up, put a hand on his shoulder, and pulled him back down into his seat.
    "He's with us. Isn't that right?" We all looked at him, and he looked around the room.
    "Yes." He finally said, and I looked back up at Shropee.
    "You were saying?"
    She nodded her thanks, and cleared her throat. "We will train. We will fight. And we will win."
    "That sums it up nicely." Jerek clapped his hands twice and everyone turned their heads towards us. "Go downstairs and train. Leave Verona alone, but do whatever anda need to do to train. Once anda think you're done training, train harder. If Brian is right about them, then we need all the strength we can get. Train. Train. Train."
    Everyone nodded, and headed for the secret basement.
    "Strategy time?" I asked, and we continued on to Jerek's room.

    We sat on Jerek's bed, throwing around ideas, how we are gonna fight, when we are gonna fight, what we'll fight. It was a bit nerve wracking, throwing ideas on the meja, jadual that didn't mesh, atau ones that did mesh that made us look bad, atau too easy to do.
    "I swear, seterusnya time I see a pisau thrown at my head, I'll keep that to myself, and just skip town." I said, and crossed my arms over my chest.
    "Don't say that." Jerek and Tabra berkata in unison, and then they looked at eachother.
    'Weird!' I thought.
    "Anyways," Tabra went on. "We need to figure this out."
    "Or," I said, an idea hitting me in the face. "We don't fight at all."
    "What do anda mean?" They berkata in unison again.
    "What if the point of this fight, is to not fight at all?" I said, and I knew I was on a roll.
    "Like...a forefit?" Tabra asked.
    "No. We don't know when this fight will take place, atau where. All we know, is that a fight is in the works here. We don't know when we need to throw punches, we have to ride the current. Just wait and see what happens." I answered, and they looked confused.
    "Seriously?" I asked them. "You guys are confused? Wow. Okay, the key figure here: we wait for the fight to come to us. Which means," I sighed, not liking this part here. "We need to watch our steps, and set up a system. We need people watching outside of the house, people like us, saat to command. They will be our watch-guards, and every six hours, the seterusnya few take their place, and we switch back and forth till sunrise. That way, we can see during the day, and be aware of what's up before we get ambushed."
    "She's right." Shropee's vocie berkata from behind us, and we turned our heads in her direction. "We wait."
    And that wasn't a suggestion. That, was a command.
