I do like listening to the Irish accent though....i love the way the Irish speak! :)

Never heard his accent, I did hear him speaking. Strange, I didn't notice I guess. Normally I do notice this sort of things. So why not with U2?

they would still be incredible, of course, but i love the irish accent.

Having grown up in Ireland when they did helped to shape their music and their conscience.I think that maybe U2 as a band would still be good if they weren't Irish, just not the same. The Irish accents are a bonus. Many British Invasion bands of the 60's had no trace of an accent while singing either.

Most people do find accents alluring- but I just REALLY like their songs- and I like how Bono is in to a bigger picture... helping humanity.
