My favourite soundtracks as a whole would be:
1. Final Fantasy X
FFX's soundtrack cannot be faulted. It is absolute perfection and contains my favourite song of all time (To Zanarkand). Absolutely beautiful and captures the tone of the game.
2. Kingdom Hearts
This game means so much to me and the music has a big part to play in that. Really magical and unique stuff.
3. Final Fantasy VII
Need I say anything? This soundtrack is iconic.
4. Okami
If there's any word to describe this game, it's 'beautiful'. Same word can be used for the soundtrack. One of the only games where I'll just run around in-game doing nothing but listen to the music :)
5. Dragon Age: Origins
EPIC. Absolutely epic soundtrack! This soundtrack drew me into the world of Ferelden and made me want to take down hoards of darkspawn ;P I turn into the biggest geek with this game...
6. Ib
For such a tiny game, the soundtrack really surprised me. It's so enchanting, creepy... yet also innocent and sweet and the same time. Did great wonders for the overall game. I have the entire soundtrack on my phone :)
7. Uncharted
Whenever I hear any song from Uncharted, it just screams 'adventure'. Great classic adventure music, sets the tone perfectly, and has some really good pieces in the soundtrack.
8. Spyro
God this music...so...damn...nostalgic...that is all.
9. Portal
This soundtrack is a real gem. Love it, it's quirky, different, and is perfect for the whole robotic setting. Absolutely adore the end credits songs for both Portal and Portal 2. Those are genius!
10. The Last of Us
To end the list, I'll go with The Last of Us. This soundtrack is unique and captivating. The many guitar-focus pieces in the soundtrack really add to that whole broken and hopeless feel of the apocalypse. I listen to this soundtrack when I write, it's inspiring :)
