It's so bad I didn't even bother going through the entire (annoyingly unskippable) tutorial.

Though I only chose this answer because there was no "add your own", I shall explain a little.

It's a good start in a MMPORPG world, and setting. However, it's good for those that are in their early teens. In Runescape, you can get to know the ropes and ins and outs of general RPGing. While it is a good starting block, I wouldn't recommend extended play. Use it before you start to delve in to deeper RPGs (such as Final Fantasy) or better MMPORPGs (such as Fable 2, or WoW)

I find the world itself very involving and slightly addicting despite the low rez. Non-members get a ridiculously tiny amount of content and access, considering the game isn't that good (combat is painfully simple).

I don't really recommend it as a good game, but like Joe said, it's a good introduction to RPGs
