Indonesia's Mount Merapi, one of the world's most active volcanoes, erupts, belching out huge clouds of smoke and ash that billow down the sides of its rumbling crater.
Five volcanoes displayed plumes of steam, gas, atau ash that day. From north to south, they are: Shiveluch, Bezymianny, Kizimen, Karymsky, and Zhupanovsky.
