I'll see it, but I am not assured it will be great.

Alan Moore wants nothing to do with the movie and won't even talk to Zack Snyder who is directing it, and I might have spelled Zack wrong, I'm not sure. But he did a good job with 300 and that was entertaining and stylish, I'm just as excited for this. For this they're using real sets though too, I saw a behind the scenes thing on it where they made up a big mock of the Watchmen's new york in 1985. So I'm excited.

The only way it wouldn't be great is if you expect it to be exactly like the comic book. It won't be. There will be some "mistakes", I'm sure, since there are time and budget restrictions when making movies. I'm still very excited.

I don't think it will transfer well to film, but I've been presenting "The Watchmen" as an example of an 'unadapatable' story for so many years that I have to watch it just to see how they even attempt to adapt the story. I'm definitely going to see it for that reason, but I have very low expectations.

i wont go see it, this comic is a bastion of awesome and i wont let myself be poisened by its whorish Hollywood charms.

So far everyone that read the comic and has already seen the movie said it was just like the comic book. But it's on dvd now and I really wanted to see this in theater because this is my favorite comic book of all time.
