Wentworth Miller And Dominic Purcell Returning For ‘Flash-Arrow’ Spinoff: What Does This Mean For ‘Prison Break’ Season 5 Reboot?

The "Flash" - "Arrow" spinoff has officially been ordered to series by CW, with Wentworth Miller and Dominic Purcell returning in the series, titled "DC\'s Legends of Tomorrow." But what does this new commitment mean for the rumors of a reboot of FOX\'s "Prison Break" for season 5?

According to HitFix.com, "DC\'s Legends of Tomorrow" focuses on "time-traveling rogue Rip Hunter, who has to recruit a motley group of heroes and villains to help prevent an apocalypse that could impact not only Earth, but all of time."

The series stars Victor Garber, Brandon Routh, Arthur Darvill, Caity Lotz, Ciarra Renee, Franz Drameh, Dominic Purcell and Wentworth Miller.

The website notes that the initial logline has the last two "Flash" veterans listed as "with Dominic Purcell... and Wentworth Miller." Hopefully the strange formatting is nothing more than a formality, at this point.

While "Flash" fans may be rejoicing, those who\'ve followed the pair are probably a little worried about what this new series means for the chances of "Prison Break" season 5. But have no fear: it sounds like FOX is just as excited as ever for a possible reboot.

Though it\'s been six years since Wentworth Miller and Dominic Purcell have played brothers Michael and Lincoln on "Prison Break," E! News reported in January - at the 2015 Winter TCA Press Tour - that they are ready to reboot the series.

"We actually floated the idea to Fox very casually and they seemed very not casual about this interest," Miller told the site. "They seemed to think there was something there."

"We haven\'t reached out to anyone just yet. It\'s just baby steps at this point, early stages," Miller said.

"It\'s something that Fox is, as Wentworth said, potentially excited about," Purcell added, with Miller quickly piping in, "Maybe definitely excited about. Maybe definitely."

Miller said it would likely be a limited series event, similar to last year\'s return of FOX\'s "24: Live Another Day."

"To go back and do something like we did at the end of season four, where there were those two standalone episodes were Sarah was in trouble; it was like a hidden chapter, we didn\'t know this, but we\'re going to share this with you, wouldn\'t it be cool to go back and layer one of those things in. Like another standalone chapter, this is what you didn\'t see before," Miller says. "Or a where are they now, it\'s five years later, limited series kind of thing. I think that\'d be really cool."
