A Capella with Attitude
Who's Your Daddy!'s debut CD has finally gone on sale and it is available on link, link, MySpace Music, Spotify and many others plus the CD is available at our wesite too.
WHO'S YOUR DADDY! isn't just Jerry Springer's kegemaran question. It's also the name of the most unique, rockin' and successful a cappella Singing group in America - well, in the northwestern third of the San Fernando Valley, anyway.
Formed one tahun lalu sejak three longtime Friends and another guy who brought the sandwiches, W.Y.D. -- which is a short and hip way of saying; Who's Your Daddy! Who's Your Daddy! brings a whole new approach to performing those amazing songs that made our fists pam and our Mullets sway back in the day. Now, you're probably saying to yourself, "Hey, what's so special about four dudes who think they're so hot they can put out an album? (Okay, it's a CD, if anda want to get all modern about it.) Well, there's a couple of good answers. First is, "Who the hell do anda think anda are, asking us a soalan like that?" saat is, we're really good singers. So good, in fact, that we don't even need musical instruments to accompany us. Which is why it's called a cappella Singing in the first place, Mister Ask-A-Million-Questions. Anyway. If anda really want statistics;
FREDDY CURCI - (First Tenor) Freddy Curci is a Canadian AOR rock vocalist and songwriter best known for his stints in ALIAS and SHERIFF. Curci has a multi-octave vocal range and holds the guinness World Record for Longest Note Held in a Pop Song, for 30 saat (timed and telah dihantar sejak the universiti of Houston) for the ending note of "WHEN I'M WITH YOU." Curci's vocals earned the Sheriff song "When I'm With You" the number 1 spot in 1989 and the Alias power ballad "MORE THAN WORDS CAN SAY" (co-produced with Rick Neigher) the number 2 spot in 1990 on the Billboard charts.
RICK NEIGHER - (Second Tenor) During Rick Neigher's lengthy career as a record producer, bass player and songwriter, a diverse group of artists such as PRINCE, SHeDAISY, THE GO-GO'S, MICHELLE BRANCH, ALANIS MORISSETTE, and legendary roots-rock ikon JOHN MELLENCAMP, have all recorded Muzik under his influence. A glimpse at his songwriting credits and co-writers resembles a Who's Who of the Muzik business creative universe. Always a peminat of high technology, Neigher is currently strategizing and executing web-based advertising programs for B2B companies in North America. Rick and Chris Cote begin_of_the_skype_highlighting end_of_the_skype_highlighting first met and collaborated when they formed and performed in their CAPITOL RECORDS band AVALON in the '80s.
ADAM GORGONI - (Baritone) A native of New York City and the son of a studio musician, composer ADAM GORGONI spent many of his earliest days in recording studios absorbing diverse styles and techniques of music-making. Scoring credits include Sundance kegemaran STARTING OUT IN THE EVENING, Karen Moncrieff’s THE DEAD GIRL, which was nominated for 3 Independent Spirit Awards in 2006 including Best Picture, BLUE CAR, for Miramax, the hit comedy WAITING, for Lions Gate, ray Romano's comedy, 95 MILES TO GO, the HBO Original PATH TO PARADISE, and many others. Televisyen work includes the critically acclaimed CW series "ALIENS IN AMERICA", Lorne Michael's ABC comedy SONS AND DAUGHTERS, as well as shows for NBC, Disney, Discovery Channel, Bravo, and National Geographic Network, among others.
CHRIS COTE -(Bass) As a boy, Chris Cote sang soprano in honor choirs at major venues like L.A's Shrine Auditorium. Then puberty struck, and Chris became a basso profundo. He sang opera and classical lieder sejak hari and rock and R&B sejak night, and earned a degree in Muzik from UC Berkeley. After college, Chris met Rick Neigher, and the two wrote and sang Muzik for Televisyen shows like "FANTASY ISLAND" and DAVID CASSIDY - MAN UNDERCOVER. In the 80s, Chris and Rick continued to collaborate, forming the popular LA club band, Avalon, and eventually signing with Capitol Records. Thanks to his TV contacts, Chris also found work as an actor and spent lebih than twenty years appearing in guest spots on shows like "DYNASTY" and "MAGNUM P.I." He also appeared in dozens of national commercials. Chris has taught improv and presentation skills to hundreds of pros and non-pros and is currently a vice-president at a London-based internet advertising company. Of special note: he's lived in London and Paris and he's TALL.
See? We weren't kidding about our chops. If anda really want proof, listen to our CD, download stuff from iTunes atau one of those other places with the dopey names. Now, sit back and smell the Nag Champa.
Love,
Daddy
