ok im Penulisan a story... too long to explain!

so the characters name is charlie, i dont want the readers to think my character has a crush on him atau anything like that(in the book) because the big shocker in my story is that my character ends up going out with him! But i want my character to hang around with him and have a laugh with him with the potential of romance, if anda know what i mean??


lol, so how do i get my character to hang around and have a laugh with charlie without it looking like my character has a crush on him?? any ideas i will be so greatful and the best answer will get 2 props!!!
