How do anda come up with ideas for a story?

It's impossible to pin this down. I could be sitting here doing this, and an idea would just hit me, and I'd think "I have to write that down." I've been driving in my car on my way to work, and suddenly the imej and sounds would literally bombard me. Sometimes, I read other things and wonder how it would work another way. And I've read prompts from other people that would find itself fully developed into a massive idea.

A million different things a million different ways in a million different sounds. Virtually anything can spur an idea, and it's selecting the good ones that's really the key. I struggle to pick a good idea that will eventually become a good story.

And I also struggle with having time to sit down and actually write it out. Argh! To not have to go to work would be blessed.

2. read a book (yes i do)
3. i read my other stories and makes like a sequal atau something close to the story

I usually take one little detail from a book I've read, then base my book around it. Like in my book 'Body and Mind'. That was based on the Incubuses in Beautiful Creatures sejak Kami Garcia and Margret Stohl, but that's where the similarities stop.

It just hits me like a bantal in the face :3

Anything from something on tv to whats happening in my own life. Suddenly I see an idea and then its get it down on paper before I forget it.

from buku and Filem and from within my hati, tengah-tengah and from my mind i usually wander into daydrems and i Cinta making all sorts of twists in things :)

mix of lots of movies, books. and i have a lot of inspiration from Muzik & my heart.

For me, it's usually a Rawak occurrance. I'll just be sitting there and WHAM!!, all of a sudden there will be an awesome idea

Being observant of things around me. I'll see something, and change some things, and see if that could have a conflict and what not. Also an over active imagination helps a lot XD

I can think of a cool tajuk and then fit something around it.

I see a hot topic surrounding teens these days (i.e. suicide, teen pregnancies, abuse, etc.) and write a story around that.

Think of a cool character and a character that could match/challenge/something this character and then think of a cool storyline.

Look at what people like in the moment and think of my own variations.

Take the peminat fictions I write and mash them all together while changing scenery and characters names and abilites and such to make my own.

I have a dream that would make a cool storyline.

Write a short story atau poem and analyze it and see what characters and plots can come from a simple story/poem.

Daydream and let it hit me.

usually, I'll be somewhere (like for example, at camp) and think, what if this and this and this happened?

-listen to music
-read a book
-watch movies
but usually I just let my mind wander and it just happens.

It all depends.

-I hear a story on the news and adapt it to a story
-I hear gossip from my mother and adapt it to a story
-I listen to my iPod on shuffle for 2 hours and draw a picture. Whatever I draw will usually inspire some form of fanfiction one-shot, which will probably inspire some form of original chapter story (Only when I get writer's block)
-I think of a bunch of my kegemaran Anime quotes
-I watch Anime and come up with a storyline based on a minor event
-I come up with some flamboyant tajuk and spend an jam adapting it into a storyline
-I dream it up
-I come up with the first paragraph sejak taking some stuff from my older stories and make a plot from there
-I hit my head with a Manga book repeatedly

Other things. I've started 3, not sure I'm gonna finish any of them, but they're inspired sejak Filem and such. Merona Coveman was inspired sejak Battlefield 2 (lol), A Single tahun Free (Originally called Maysilee Maysilee) was inspired sejak The Ring, and I'm working on one that doesn't have a tajuk that is inspired sejak The Lying Game. Of course, they're original ideas, just inspired sejak the stuff. Some ideas come to me randomly atau in dreams, though.

Usually it just pops up in my head. It's usually fairly simple at first, and then I grow upon the idea gradually. Often, other ideas come up to embellish the original idea. A lot of it is just whatever pops up, and the rest of it (really, I'd say the majority of it) is what I develop it into.
