Before I do something dumb is it ever a good idea to give a long flash back it's own chapter if not where should it go? Please help!

I'm a huge writer, I have never written flashbacks (yet) but I think it's a good idea if a flashback has it's own chapter. It's YOUR story.

I think this is a matter of preference.

I don't mind that. I like to look at it like one of those flashback episodes of a show. They're still good and they can be super important to the show. I think the same holds for story flashbacks.
