Chapter Fourteen

It wasn’t the makan malam, majlis makan malam that they didn’t had before. It was very different. It was a makan malam, majlis makan malam of confusion especially for the two little girls.

During the makan malam, majlis makan malam of steak, mashed potatoes, and peas, Mac and Izzie watched their Mama and Mr. Sean eat their makan malam, majlis makan malam in silent even through Mac saw Sean giving her mother some glimpses of his grins to Jamie to tell her that this was a great makan malam, majlis makan malam she served. Hoping that Mama saw those grins that Sean saw her, the only thing she saw that her mother was just eating her dinner, drinking her Iced Tea, and wiping the messes that was on Jake’s face who was sitting seterusnya to Jamie and not noticing Sean at all like she was annoying him like he gave her something that she didn’t liked at all.

After staring at her mother, Mac turned back to Sean who looked a little sad because her mother didn’t looked at him and stayed that way ten minit later when Sean got up from his chair and told Jamie, the girls, and Jake that he and Boyd better get going because he got something else to do that night and told them that he had a nice makan malam, majlis makan malam tonight and will see them soon.

Once Sean gave Mac and Izzie hugs and kisses and went over to Jake to give one huge Ciuman on the bahagian, atas of Jake’s light brown hair and before he leaves the house with Boyd, Sean went over to Jamie and kissed her on the cheek. After seeing no emotion on Jamie’s face, Mac looked at Sean’s sad face and quickly, she heard Sean calling out Boyd’s name and saat later, Mac Thomas saw him getting out of the house from the back house to go back to his own house and moments later, Mac saw her mother blushing very merah jambu on her cheeks and immediately picking up their half-filled plates of foods even though they weren’t done with those yet to put them in the sink to wash them.

Watching her mother’s weird behavior, Mac was wondering about what had happened between her mother and Sean that hari that made Jamie acted this way and she want to know about it because she didn’t liked it at all.

The seterusnya hari was her first Bola sepak game in the league and wanting some support, Mac invited her Mama, Izzie, Jake, Aunt Julie and Cousin Ella, and without anybody knowing about it because it was last-minute and she stopped him from walking Boyd and asked him if he want to come to her Bola sepak game later that hari and in return, he berkata to the little girl with a grin on his face, “Sure, Mac. I’ll go to your game and hope that you’ll kick a goal for me.” and Mac smiled back at him and left just in case that her family will be wondering where she went to, Mac Thomas invited Sean Connors for most importantly, talk to Jamie about what had happened to them just like a little match-maker minus the Cinta part because in her eyes, Mac knew that Jamie only had eyes for her father, Michael.

While Mac was kicking the ball and scoring goals to Casey Winters’s net who again, did a horrible job at it just like the tahun before, Jamie was cheering her oldest daughter on and berkata aloud to her, “Go Mac! anda can do it!” Izzie and Jake stared weirdly at their mother when she yelled that at Mac from sitting on the blanket, doing their own thing for a minit and stopping to stare at Jamie who in their opinion, a pretty weird woman who are their mother. From staring at her children, Jamie knew that she completely embarrassed her youngest Bayi and to tell them that she was very sorry about it and will not do that again for now, she berkata to quietly, “Sorry, guys. I’ll not do that again until Mac scores another goal, okay?”

After hearing that from her, Izzie and Jake gave Jamie such a look for about thirty saat that berkata to her, “Fine.” and went back to whatever they were doing that didn’t involved watching the game. The moment she saw that look, Jamie was about to blush but didn’t and while there was a time-out, Jamie turned to her little sister who had Ella on her lap and asked her desperately, “Come on, Julie. Tell me your secret to not embarrassing your kids in public!” In return and in a calm and cooling matter, Julie turned to her big sister and answered Jamie’s soalan sejak saying, “Just cheer your daughter quietly, okay.”

“Fine!” berkata Jamie who crossed her arms and slumped down on her camping chair while cursing her little sister out for being so smart suddenly when from the corner of her eye, she watched Ella tugging her mother’s jaket and when she got Julie’s attention, the mother looked down at her daughter with her green eyes and asked her, “What is it now, Ella?”

In return, Ella berkata to her mother with her own green eyes and while bouncing her wavy blonde hair on her shoulders, “Mommy, I got to go potty!” After hearing that and out of nowhere, Izzie looked up to the two women and asked them like Ella did to her mother, “Yeah, I had to go potty too!” Before Jamie can sighed aloud and was about to tell Izzie, “Fine! Let go!” Julie put her hand on her sister’s arm and looking at Jamie’s eyes, Julie smiled at her while saying to her, “Jamie, let me do it for you. Okay with that?”

“Yeah.” berkata Jamie silently and right away, she watched her sister saying to the two four years old girls, “All rightly then! Who are going on a trip to the portly-potty?” and saat later, the two little girls went all out saying to Julie, “I am! I am!”

Having no idea about what was so exciting about a traveling toilet to little kids, Jamie just smiled at the little girls who got up from where they were sitting and took both of Julie’s hands and together, they walked to the toilet while at the perfect moment, Jamie’s smile turned into a frown when she saw Sean walking Boyd over to them and the man sat his bum down on Julie’s chair and while Boyd was sniffing Jake’s body like he’s carrying drugs in his overalls, Sean watched that and turned to Jamie and asked her with a boyish grin on his face, “What I miss?”

With a frown on her face, Jamie crossed her arms and asked him madly, “What are anda doing here?” Shrugging his shoulders, Sean berkata to her with the same grin on his face, “Well, I was in the park, walking my dog and minding my own business when I saw anda and your sister sitting here, watching Mac’s game and saw no seats left.” “So, once your sister and the girls left to go somewhere that I don’t want to know about, I knew that this is the perfect time and went over here and did my thing.”

After hearing that, Jamie didn’t believed him and still frowning and crossing her arms, she berkata to him madly, “No, really. What are anda doing here? anda got no children here playing in this league. Not that I know of.”

The moment she told him that, Sean just pointed his finger at Jamie while jokily explaining to her, “Yeah, I had a kid. See the girl at the net that absolutely sucks at soccer?” referring to Casey Winters, who right now, hadn’t protected her team from making Mac’s team from scoring lebih goals.

Not seeing that at all and still being that type of woman like a minit ago, Jamie told the man in front of her that the girl he was referring to wasn’t his daughter and asked him right again, “Sean, tell me again. Why are anda doing here?”

Sean didn’t waste his time at this. Right away, Sean looked at Jamie’s eyes and answered her soalan sejak saying, “Fine, then. Mac invited me here at the last minit and I told her yes.” After hearing that, Jamie stared at him and yelled at him, “What? She did that? Mac, damn it!” Not letting her goes all crazy about it, Sean put his hands on Jamie’s shoulders and berkata to her nicely, “Jamie, don’t do this. Don’t blame your daughter on this! Blame me instead!”

“Blame you?! What anda did mean ‘blame me instead’?! It wasn’t your fault!” berkata Jamie who was really mad about this. Again, Sean calmed her down and berkata to her with the right words, “Yes, it was my fault because after Mac went back to your house, I had this little plan.” After hearing that, Jamie stared at Sean with a confused look on her face and asked him, “Sean, what plan?”

With the right words again, Sean took his time with this and thirty saat later, he looked at those blue eyes of the woman in front of him and berkata to her calmly, “Jamie, I came here today because I really want to talk about last night and yesterday.” “Last night and yesterday? What about them?” asked Jamie who put her arms down and was very confused about this, maybe a little too much.

Sean sighed at when he told her this, telling her now he felt about this. “Jamie, I know that your husband will be coming back here on Wednesday and when anda got the call from him, I knew that anda are about to be stuck in the middle with this and anda kicked me out of the house to think about it until I come back for dinner.”

“Which I didn’t and avoided anda like the plague during it, right?” berkata Jamie. Sean nodded at that and then, berkata to her, “Yeah and then, I went utama for the night and plans to spend my weekend without anda but didn’t because Mac came over and asked the you-know-what to me and after she left and before I came here, I was thinking about something. About us.”

Jamie stared at Sean when he told her that and asked him, “What is it, Sean?” To tell her about it, Sean put her hand in his hand and berkata to her, “Jamie, I really like to have one last makan malam, majlis makan malam with just anda and me Tuesday night before anda go back to your husband and we went back to being neighbors and friends. anda want to do that with me?” At the end of that, Sean stared at her with his blue eyes and the most boyish grin on his face, hoping that she agreed with him which she did.

Telling him that the answer is yes and without any thinking, Jamie leaned over and kissed him on the lips, giving him a sweet one and did that for a whole minute.

While staring at that from the other side of the field, Mac Thomas was very confused when she saw that, wondering why her mother was giving one of those kisses to Sean Connors that Jamie only gives to her father but she got to back into the field right now and tonight, she got to ask her mother about this.
