She looks;
Her eyes desperate & fraught
Her body defenseless & weak.
Feelings of vulnerability;
Guilt seeping through her veins.
But what can she do?
She stares.

She stares;
Oblivious to her stare, he hums
Chasing a butterfly, hops & skips;
Not a feather of a burden on his shoulders
As he goes about his carefree life.
She smiles.

She smiles;
Memories come rushing through,
As she first held him in her arms.
‘I will give anda the world’ she promised.
She lied.
‘You will be the king of the world someday’
This time, he stared, his big blue eyes
Gleaming with innocent mischief, unaware of what fate has in store for him.
‘My angel’, she says softly.

‘Angel’, she calls out.
He stops and turns.
Excitedly, he searches her hands with his eyes.
Runs across the yard.
She streches out her arms ready to embrace him.
As he jumps on her with joy; her warmth caresses him.
‘Where is it?’ he asks sheepishly.
‘Where is what?’ she repeats with a smirk
He unfolds her hands; it’s empty. Disappointed.
‘Keep looking’, she says.
Excitement fills his eyes yet again. A finite excitement.
‘Found it!’
As he gets ready to put it in his mouth, he asks, innocently, reluctantly,
‘Mummy, do anda want some?’
She smiles.

She breaks the piece of roti into pieces and feeds him, one sejak one; all.
He munches down the bread.
‘Is that all?’, he asks unaware of the impact of his seemingly harmless question.
Her hati, tengah-tengah aches.
‘Are anda still hungry angel?’
‘Na, I’m full’. He lied.
‘But tomorrow, we’ll have lebih right mummy?’
‘Of course angel’.
She lied, again.
As he places his head on her lap, she gently strokes his hair,
Hums him a lullaby...
He sleeps.

She can’t sleep.
She fears for tomorrow.
Her body aches from the digging;
Her arms bruised from the heavy loads;
The soles of her foot cut sejak the sharp rocks;
Her lungs filled with black smoke; she breathes heavily.
The sounds of the explosions still blasting her ears.
A miner’s agony.

Her hati, tengah-tengah aching as she collects her day’s worth
Only enough to buy her Angel a piece of bread.
A mother’s affliction.

As darkness creeps in,
The streetlights form shadows,
Footsteps echoe at a distance,
She prays for her angel.
She looks at him smiling in his dream as he sees an angel;
She silently smiles.
She hears his stomach growling;
She silently sobs.

Lucy soon became like a mom to me. She watched after me, and made sure I got enough to eat (even if it was from a dumpster). I grew lebih anxious as the nine bulan mark came near. Only then did I think about actually delivering the baby. Lucy promised she'd help me, and that she'd try to remember how it was handled when she had her sons and daughters. The baby began kicking and shifting around a lot, and it doubled me over in pain. It happened quite frequently, and I became katil ridden. Lucy didn't want me walking the streets like this, and she insisted that I stayed in the car. She brought me...

For many lebih weeks we were happy. I gave Bloom lessons on the violin, and how to speak properly. She was lebih than willing to do these things, as long as I was the one teaching her. A few times, I tried to get her to work with Abby, but she refused. She only wanted to work with me. I was her big sister, after all. In a way, I think Abby was happy about this. It gave her a little time for herself. I was glad too… it was nice not having her waiting on us all day. Waiting on us for an order. She began to even take orders from little Bloom… they played teh parties together often. Though she...

"...What do anda mean?" Mom asked. We'd told her about the rent. I had managed to get off the table, but I had to lean against the counter for support. My leg was so sore.

"Mom," Paige berkata slowly. "We're going to get evicted if we don't pay it."

"So just pay it," she said, oblivious to the seriousness of the situation.

"We can't," Paige said. "We have no money."

"What happened to all of it?" Mom asked, her eyes widening.

"We used it to pay the hospital bill last month. So Matt had offered to pay the rent, and he didn't. Now we're in trouble." Mom was quiet for a moment, then rolled her eyes and...

    Seven tahun old Claire Debony dashed outside of her pa’s barn. Her short, brown hair bouncing behind her as she ran. Her tee baju flapping behind her in the wind. She was going to meet her friend Wyatt down at the crick. It was an everyday ritual for them.
    When she reached the bank of the crick she glanced around for Wyatt. She walked out onto the pier. The pier went about one-fourth into the water.
    Claire spotted something out of the corner of her eye. She began to turn, but it was too late. Wyatt, a gangly boy with black...

Two Choices

What would anda do?....you make the choice. Don't look for a punch

Like after all the nights before, I had woken up a several amount of times. Every hour, past twelve, until I finally woke at nine. This routine was my life. It was all it was, after Max.
Max, was my life for the twelve years we had. However, five of those twelve years, we spent in grief.
Diagnosed with lung cancer on our sixth tahun anniversary. At first, we were a little worried--but we were certain that things would turn out fine. He promised me that they would. That, however, was not the case.
With radiation treatment, and surgeries here and there, the cancer came back every tahun until our twelfth...

Recap:
When i turned around to look in the direction where she was coming from, i saw that nearly all the people who had been standing there were gone.I looked around and saw some of the kids running into the bathrooms, others entering classrooms which they were not supposed to be in.I thought about hiding in one room that was on the left side near the locker i had hit my head on but before i could even move, i had Mrs.copcon say, "Everyone stop where they are standing".
